Thursday Dad had the endoscopy and more blood. We waiting ALL day for a doctor to come visit us to let us know the plan. The day before we got 2 different stories from the doctors. One doctor said he MIGHT go home on Thursday while the other said it would be on Friday. We were hoping that the first doctor would be right and all day we were praying he would walk in with the releasing papers. Of course as the day went on and the waiting got longer we knew the likelihood of that happening was getting less and less. And we were right, around 5:30, after a day of hanging out, watching TV, playing cribbage, and taking walks around the floor, the doctor FINALLY decided to visit. He gave us the news we didn’t want to hear. Dad had to stay one more night. Booooooooooo!!!!
This was NOT what we wanted to hear. I really felt bad because I knew I had to head back to Boston that night and wouldn’t be around on Friday to help get Dad home from the hospital.
