On Tuesday my mom called and ask me to come back to CT. Dad was going to be heading to the hospital because he had low blood levels. This has happened before however this time it was considered EXTREMELY low levels. The doctors wanted him to head to the emergency room for blood transfusions. Well it turns out that over the next 4 days my Dad would get a total of 7 new pints of blood. That’s right 7 (S E V E N) pints of blood! It’s amazing to think that the average person holds about 8 to 10 pints of blood, and he was given 7!!! While in the hospital they also did an endoscopy. This time around they didn’t find any bleeding so they decided that after his 7th pint of blood they would release dad from the hospital. The plan is to preform other tests as an out patient.
