This afternoon our good friend Ryan stopped by for a little visit. And in true Ryan fashion he made his mark the minute he pulled in….
I guess you should never say, “just park anywhere!”

This week Ichiro and I were looking for something different for dinner, something out of the normal rotation. After looking around to see what we had in the cabinets, I figured we hadn’t made Taco Rice in a while. The night we made it I just figured Noby wouldn’t eat it. A, he doesn’t like rice and B, he never just tries anything. That’s what happens when you have a picky eater. Anyway Thursday night, while I was at water aerobics, Ichiro tried to give him some and wouldn’t you know, he at the entire bowl. He even got seconds!!!

So today Noby and I ran into Stop and Shop to pick up a few things. As with every trip into the store I casually talk to Noby, not paying attention to the people around us.
Today as we wait at the deli, a “wise” old man starts talking to us. The conversation went something like this…
Wise Old Man: He’s cute, Chinese?
Me: Well… Japanese. (Looking away to try to end the conversation)
Wise Old Man: Oh, well is the Dad Chinese?
Me: Well he’s Japanese.
Wise Old Man: Oh right. (long pause) You know you can tell by their eyes.
Me: Yup, I suppose so. (trying not to give him a dirty look) Well we’re off to find something for lunch. Bye. Say goodbye Noby. (starting to walk away)
Wise Old Man: Maybe get him some rice.
Me: (thinking to myself… just walk away, Becky, just walk away)
WTF!

This weekend I have been running around with my parents and Brenda, so I was so surprised when Ichiro told me that he set up a playdate with Niels and Lana. I’m not sure who actually came up with the idea but I love the fact that they had a Daddy Playdate! I came home for a few minutes to find them all at the kitchen table having lunch. It was a adorable!
Here is a couple of pictures Ichiro took during the day…

This year we didn’t get to make our jack o lanterns before Halloween, so today I decided to cut up one of our 3 pumpkins. It just wasn’t right that we didn’t eat any toasted pumpkin seeds yet. So instead of wasting the rest of the pumpkin I decided to bake it and make pumpkin puree to use at a later time. I think I’ll try making some of those little pumpkin cakes again with it. Also I read online how I could try to sneak it in every day meals to add another vegetable without anyone knowing!! (Watch out Dad, you never know what you’re going to get here!!)
PS.. Santa please bring me a food processor!!!

Friday Noby and I headed into Brenda’s office to her annual Halloween party. Noby had such a blast!! The party started with some coloring of trick or treat bags, we made pictures with Halloween stickers and had some special Halloween treats. Then all the kids got to we trick or treat to all the offices on the floor.
So this year we decided to take Noby Trick or Treating!! Even though he was the cutest skunk last year, we decided he really was to young to go. This year we met up with Lizzy and the boys to hi their neighborhood. It was such a great time!! I loved watching Noby get into it. He was even trying to say Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween. Here are few pictures of the night!
Noby loves watching the baby in his crib…
Hee hee, a little lobster!
Hitting up one of the first houses, YES Noby already has a lolly pop in his mouth!
