EXTREME CLOSEUP!
I wear my sunglasses at night!
I gotta wear shades!
You talking to me?
Noby and Mr. MooCow!
Playing is hard work!
He’s wicked smart!
He’s going to be a diver!
Hey, look at that fish!
“Don’t you think that’s enough?”

Ichiro and I spent most of MLK day trying to get the house back together. Trying is the key word! We made a dent however there is still a lot to do. While I made piles for Goodwill downstairs, Ichiro put together our Xmas gifts upstairs.
Check them out… THANKS MOM & DAD!!!
My side…
Ichiro’s side.
We headed to Joanna and Shawn’s to watch the games on their enormous TV. We had a great time and are so excited that the Pats kept their undefeated record alive. Noby and I were a little sad about the second game, we were cheering for the Packers all night. Ichiro, however is happy that a NY team to be in the Superbowl. So I didn’t mess up my diet, I cut up some veggies and made a Buffalo Chicken Chili to bring along. I forgot to take a picture but it was a hit, so when I make it again, you’ll see it.
Noby was very excited to get all dressed up in his Pats outfit, THANKS GRANDPA!! He even had a “costume” change between games (Thanks Aunt Karen and Uncle Pete!).
Noby and Daddy watching the game.
Noby was all excited after the game! GO PAT!
Avery and Noby had a little play time between the games.
Noby got into his Green Bay outfit before the second game started.
He was so excited for the start of the game!

Most new parents have to kid proof their house, us??? we have to kitty proof it!! Today we headed to Home Depot to get new door handles for both our bedroom and Noby’s. Here’s Ichiro kitty proofing our house!
Check out Ichiro’s drill… It has LEGS!!!!
Because the drill was out, I finally was able to get Ichiro to hang the shelves.
The man at work….
“Daddy, what are you doing?”
Great-grandpa’s train displayed correctly!
The shelf over the double window!
Thanks Daddy! Noby and Mommy LOVE IT!!!

In an effort to organize this house, tonight I battled a battle that I’ve been putting off for a while now. When my mom stayed with us after Noby was born she even offered to tackle it, but I wouldn’t give it to my worse enemy.
The battle of socks!
Ichiro and I have more socks then two people should have. They started off in one drawer and slowly creep-ed to two, then three. We would spend an enormous amount of time trying to find a pair that match and on any given day you could bet Ichiro’s didn’t. He always gave up!
Well tonight I tackled it, I gave in, I had had enough! I first organized by style, low whit socks, black socks, color/fun socks, high white socks, hiking socks, and socks we got in Japan. YES I had an entire pile of socks we got in Japan. They’re great, they have toes! (My (fill in the blank) went to Japan and all I got were socks!) If there wasn’t a match, in the trash they went! If there was a hole, in the trash they went! If they were just really old, in the trash they went!
What a Friday night!!!
My piles of socks! Check out the little pile on the right, JAPAN SOCKS!!

Noby did great again in his crib last night. He got up about 3 times to feed and went right back done. Our little guy is getting bigger and last night he rolled from his back to his stomach. Well as I’m sure you can imagine Mommy didn’t get much sleep last night. Every time I noticed he was on his stomach, near the bumper, I ran in there to move him.

Starting at 9:45! The plan was to slowly move his bedtime forward, to a more reasonable hour. Tonight he just looked so tired we thought we would try it at 9:45.
We will see how many times he gets up tonight!

SUCCESS!!! Noby loves his crib and again had a very successful night in his bed. He only got up twice to eat and mommy got a little more sleep!!
Special “Thank You” goes out to Ichiro for giving me the cold he had early in the week. It’s swell!

I just wanted to let EVERYONE know that last night Noby slept in his own room!!! A HUGE thank you to Don and Tinny for the monitor, it working out great. Ichiro and I made a deal that I could try for two months (till his 6 month birthday) to get Noby to sleep in his own crib without the “cry it out” method. I just don’t believe it’s beneficial to any of us to allow him to cry till he falls asleep. If on his 6 month birthday he still cries when you put him down, I will NOT be allowed to pick him up to comfort him.
Well last night was the first time I tried him in his crib, using my method. I nursed him, and put him down and he feel right asleep. I think he loves his bed!!! He did get up 3 times to eat during the night but went right back to sleep in his crib. I am just so excited! I hope it continues to be this easy, I know, I know… not likely!
I have to admit that I am VERY tired today. Although Noby had a great night sleep in his crib, I however was up all night watching the monitor.
This picture was taken a few days ago, Noby was just chillin’ in his crib.
