Today was Noby’s first day of preschool!!! I was so excited for him but at the same time VERY nervous after that orientation! Plus the teachers wanted me to send him in BIG boy underwear!!! Not the typical pull up that we wear when we leave the house. So I was double nervous! I was happy that Ichiro was able to go with us today; for both moral support and the fact that he could see Noby on his first day.
It was SOOO well! We got there a little early and waited with the other kids for the teacher to come out to the play area. Noby was itching to get in there to play so when the teachers finally arrive he had no problem saying goodbye to us. He actually ran up to Miss Ginny and gave her a big hug then tried to run into the play area. Miss Ginny told Noby to say goodbye to Mom and Dad, so he ran over to us, gave us a hug and kiss (never taking his eye off the play area) and off he went! Tears came to my eyes, but they were good tear. We walked away slowly watching him run around, up and down the slide, he was all over the place! Ichiro kept pulling me, saying “it’s better to walk away!” haha he was right.
I had two hours to myself!!! I was so excited! haha I drove Ichiro to work, grabbed myself a pumpkin spice latte and then, well then I had no idea what to do. haha I called my mom and decided to do a little shopping. I think Thursday I’ll squeeze in a pedicure!!!!
When it was time to pick Noby up, I was so excited to get him. I’m sure things will change and I will LOVE the break and wish it was longer but today I missed him. It was great! He saw me and ran over to me. He was so excited to tell me about his day. How he had a cupcake and they sang Happy Birthday and he got ONE candle!!! When I told him how proud I was of him, he just kept saying “Sooo proud of you!! and giggled! AND HE WAS STILL IN HIS CUTE OUTFIT!! NOOOO ACCIDENTS!!!
