So the other day, my mom asked how Noby’s train was coming along.
I thought I would share with everyone.
FINISHED!!!
I love this corner. Check out the blanket that my Memere made. Don’t the colors look perfect!
I know the pictures are kind of dark. Noby was napping in his crib.
So I added the clouds the other day, but I’m still debating if I’ll put these black lines in there. What do you think?
Noby before the nap! Someone commented that he’s always smiling! Well of course, it’s fun being home with Mommy all day!!!

Last night Brenda and I had one of the best girls night!!
When I use to live with Brenda, way back when, we LOVED the restaurant Fajitas and Ritas. It didn’t get any better than Mexican food and margaritas by the LITER!! With a location in Downtown Crossing we would sometimes meet there after work. And when we had company, we would often take them to this graffiti decorated wonderland! It was NO surprised to either one of us that, when asked where we wanted to meet for dinner we picked this restaurant. We ordered the same thing we use to order. Sharing an order of Fajitas, an order of nacho and a liter of Sangria. Well I don’t know what happened, maybe our pallets have matured, but it just wasn’t how we remembered. Poor, poor Fajitas and Ritas, I don’t think we will be going back!!!
Anyway our night continued with the theater. Brenda was able to score tickets to My Fair Lady at the Opera House. We had great orchestra seats and the show was amazing. The lady who played Eliza Doolittle did such an outstanding job! Every time I get to see a show I remember how much I love it!
Thanks Brenda for such a great Girls Night Out!!

So lately Neko has been trying my patience. She knows she’s not allowed in the pack n’ play however everyday I find her in there. It doesn’t matter if I put the net on it or not, she finds her way in it. Neko just sits there and stares at me, almost saying “HA HA HA!”
Neko, just sitting there laughing at me!
Tonight as we sit on the couch watching American Gladiator and playing before bedtime. All of a sudden we hear a blood-curdling scream from the kitchen. We knew exactly what had happened. One of the cats, our guess Neko, had attacked Inu. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Inu deserved it. Anyway Inu came running and crying but seemed ok. We go back to playing with Noby. All of a sudden I look down at the floor and see blood EVERYWHERE, on the floor, on the side of the coffee table, EVERYWHERE! I look over to Inu on the couch and see this…
And this…
He is rubbing his ear all over the couch! There is blood everywhere. We toss Inu in his cage and look at the damage. Thank GOD we got the fabric protection on the couch! I’ll be calling tomorrow!
Here is Inu in his cage. You can clearly see the blood that dripped off his ear. The part that it hard to see in this picture is that all his fur is pink. Poor Inu, not only was he attacked by a cat, but now he needs a bath.

Sunday was the weirdest weather day ever. At one point there was a blizzard, 10 minutes later blue skies. At one point it was snowing with blue skies. We had no idea where the snow was coming from.
Sunday afternoon Shawn, Avery, Ichiro, Noby and I headed to Together in Motions for a little playing. Both Shawn and Ichiro wanted to check this place out. I think we all had a great time, you can tell from these pictures…
Ichiro helping Noby stand!
Avery loves crawling over….
and through everything!
Noby doesn’t look to sure about this one.
The Thinker!
Shawn and Avery playing on the parachute.
What great dads!
I think Ichiro would do great with a second!!
After the kids played, the dads needed some “play” time too. We headed back to the house for tacos and Wii.
Shawn rocking out with Guitar Hero.
Well Shawn and Avery’s trip out lasted a little longer then originally planned. It was dinner time and because Noby hasn’t started solids yet, he had nothing to share. Well I plan to make all of Noby’s baby food and tonight I had my first opportunity to try making it. Avery didn’t love it, but I’m sure it was just because she’s not use to homemade baby food. She did pretty good with the carrots and apple sauce, but didn’t really like the green beans. Oh yeah and she loved the Cheerios, of course! It was good practice for me and now I can’t wait to start Noby on solids!!
Carrots, Green Beans and Apples… Baby Style! I love the Magic Bullet!

During our first trip to Mexico, Jo and Shawn introduced us to diving. We enjoy it but Shawn LOVES it. He’s crazy and does dives off the coast of MA and all over New England. Ichiro and I are what you call “warm water divers.” I have no real interest to go in the cold New England waters. Anyway Shawn’s a member of the Dive Club at the Aquarium and won a drawing to be able to dive in the large tank. Today Shawn invited us to share in his experience at the New England Aquarium.
Shawn right before his dive. You can tell just how excited he is!
The Cormiers!
Shawn waving to Avery!
Noby and Mommy checking out the fish.
Noby and Daddy.
Shawn dove with this shark! I think I KNOW I would have pooped myself!
Check out the size of that turtle. That’s Shawn getting out of her way!
This penguin was cooling himself in front of the AC vent.
This is a Japanese Sea Nettle!
This tank was so colorful!
Ichiro playing with his camera. I love the color in the background. We were at the top of the tank and Noby was looking through the glass.
Here we are from across the tank.
The end of the dive…

Today we were homebound, Ichiro needed the truck for work so Noby and I enjoyed a quiet day at home. We played upstairs and downstairs; napped upstairs and downstairs; cleaned upstairs and downstairs; what a great day!
Our cats are so weird, this is how Chloe likes to relax.
Noby never really like his Bumbo. He would stretch backwards and push himself out. Well this week I found the tray part of it and now he LOVES it.
Check out Noby playing the “watch me toss my toys over the side! Pick it up” game!

A couple of days ago Kelly and I had an IM conversation similar to this…
Kelly: I was just reading your blog…
Me: Oh yeah?
Kelly: We got a beach house too this summer?
Me: Oh yeah?
Kelly: What dates are you going? Wouldn’t that be funny if we had the same week!
Me: July 5-12th, how about you?
Kelly: HAHAHAHAHA We have the same week!
Me: What beach are you going to?
Kelly: Misquamicut, just like you!
Me: omg, OMG!
Kelly: That is too funny. We are on Lawton Ave.
Me: OMG are you kidding? We are on Lawton TOO!!
Turns out months ago Kelly went to the same realtor, rented a beach house for the same week, on the SAME street! I can’t believe it. A few days ago I wrote about how we have so many great memories from Misquamicut. Many of these memories included Kelly, she was part of our family and spent many vacations with us! I started looking at old photos, I might regret doing this but I need to show you what I found!
Ok I’m not sure why I’m running or why I would wear that hat, but here we are at Misquamicut Beach. Look who’s in the background… that’s right Kelly!!!
Here’s another one from our week at Misquamicut, looks like it was one of our day trips to Mystic Aquarium. From left; Katie, Nicky (look how little he is!), Me (the hat again!), Kelly (nice sunglasses!) and Brenda.

Well we all know the outcome of yesterday’s game; what a sad ending to a perfect season. Although we didn’t have anyone over, we wanted to make Noby’s first Super Bowl a great one. All I can say is that Ichiro’s TV is ridiculous! It felt like you were at the game! The colors and clearness of the game were really amazing! So I didn’t have the excuse of company to make yummy nachos or chip and dip, so I tried my hardest to make some fun stuff that was still on my diet. I think I did pretty good and even Ichiro ate them!!
Noby was ready for the game in his Patriots gear!
This picture doesn’t do it justice!
Oh you didn’t know, Noby was actually playing in the game!
Daddy and Noby!
I decided that I would make Buffalo Chicken Chili again.
So I found a recipe for roasted chick peas. They were actually really good, crunchy like peanuts.
Before baking them I added a little garlic powder, crushed red pepper and a little salt.
I also made some sweet potato chips.
Before baking I just added a little salt. One potato made all these chips!

Some of my fondest summer memories are from the time we spent at the RI shore, Misquamicut Beach to be exact. From our Saturday day trips, to weeks we rental a house, we ALWAYS had a great time. I remember getting in the car before sunrise and heading down. We would sit in traffic on the long road in and then again when we got to the state beach. We would be there so early the state beach wouldn’t even be open. I remember spending ALL day; building sandcastles and playing in the best waves ever. We wouldn’t leave until the beach closed and we were kicked out. My other memories are of the beach houses we rented with the Blackburns. Just like our day trips, I have so many wonderful memories about our week stays. We would have early morning breakfasts (always egg sandwiches) at our favorite restaurant on the beach, we would spend entire days baking in the sun, and nights were spent working on a puzzle. I’ll never forget all the great memories I had from those times. As I look back and think about them, I realize just how lucky I was to have parents that loved the beach!
Well recently Brenda and I talked about the possibility of renting a house with our parents this summer. Come July they will both be ready, and in need of a vacation. We asked if they were interested and they seemed just as excited as us. I knew if we really wanted this we needed to act fast. It’s February and places will start to fill quickly. We needed a 3 bedroom and we wanted it to be near were we use to rent. Once I got the OK from Ichiro, I ran with it. This all happened this past week. Friday I called the reality office again and the lady told me I should pick a house and put my name on it. She said things were going fast and availabilities were changing by the hour. I put my name on the top house I wanted and Brenda and I planned to go down the next day to check it out. If we hated it the lady would show us others in our price range. I wasn’t looking for anything crazy, just a place we could sleep. In my view beach rental houses are not luxury places. They are usually small, weirdly decorated, but close to the beach. And to me the only important part is location to the beach, most of my time will be spent there.
I only shot a couple of pictures but here you go…
LOOK HOW CLOSE WE ARE!!! The entrance to the beach is to the left of that middle house!
Our beach breakfast place is right behind that middle house!!!
I love how the couch matches the picture on the wall. And LOVE that fish!
When I got home Ichiro said he needed to head to Target. So back in the car we went and over to the Everett Plaza. We got what we needed at Target and headed over to Babies R Us, I wanted to check out a “sheet-savers” for Noby’s crib. Anyway while I ran around the store Ichiro relaxed on the gliders. Guess what we came home with….
The chair is wonderful! Now both Noby and I are comfortable while he eats!
Well because the chair is a little on the large size we had to move the dresser. I’ve tried a couple of other spots but I decided to leave it here for now. I’m going to see if it grows on me.
