I’m not sure if that’s actually a word but Ichiro and I worked all weekend to try to make out house look a little less ghetto. We still have a long way to go but check out the progress so far…

Yesterday Ichiro and I hung the lattice under the porch and today he hung those trim pieces. Doesn’t it look great!

When the porch was being built the flower garden was ruined. So today to tore everything up and started over. Ohhh pretty flowers!

I added some flowers to the side too.

That’s all I can post tonight. It’s only 7pm and I am ready to pass out.

Cravings have been in full force, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about mom’s popovers. So tonight I tried to make them for the first time. And let me tell you I did it!! Check these out…

Ok I had mashed potatoes with them but honestly this dinner had nothing to do with the mashed potatoes and everything to do with the popover and extra extra mushroomed gravy.

How long have I’ve been with Ichiro? How ever long it’s been, since that day 1, I’ve been telling Ichiro he needs a manicure. I tried several times to cut his cuticles myself but he cried every time so we stopped. Around the time of our wedding, I tried again. No luck. Well today I did it! I got Ichiro into the nail salon. They were so bad. The cuticles were growing over the nails. Even the lady at the nail salon said his nails were really bad. Here are some before and after pictures!

Here’s a before picture. It’s from our wedding in Mexico, almost a year go. You can only imagine how much worst they got since then.

And the after!!! So much better!  Come on people, tell Ichiro this isn’t gay! hahaha

HORMONES!! (ok, that’s going through my head to the Milli Vanilli tune…)

Tonight, Sarah and Mo called me on their way out of town. The orginal plan was for all of us to go on vacation this year. Ichiro and I couldn’t find a way to do both the Myrtle Beach Trip with them and Japan in 3 weeks. Believe me, I tried to find some way, you should see the price of flights at this time!  Anyway, I totally forgot this was the week, that was until Sarah and Mo called to say Hi, see how the baby was doing, and tell us we were going to be missed. I broke down. Cried and cried, like a baby. These hormones are a killer. Well Ichiro must have felt pretty bad because he took me out on a date.  I think I could have gotten anything at the mall and we had a wonderful dinner! Anyway, I hope all four of them have a great time and I can’t wait to see all the pictures!!! Girls, make sure you count me in for next year, I already have the baby sitter lined up!!!

Today we had another visit to Dr Neptune’s office. Everything looks good, my blood pressure was normal, weight was down a little (but nothing to be concerned about), and after a couple of attempts I successfully peed in the cup. Over all it went well. We heard the baby’s heart beat again and the dr said it sounded normal. Guess who recorded it?? That’s right my husband, check it out on his site, you can actually hear the baby’s heart beat!!

Oh yeah we also got the ok to attend the PVD concert and Nascar Race!! YEAH!!! IMPORTANT!

Here’s an update on the baby’s room. As you have probably read on Ichiro’s blog there was a disagreement on the arrangement of the room. I feel we need a real closet, Ichiro does not. I think I won, he has seen the light. Ok I have to give in on something else. But here are some more recent pictures of the baby’s room.

No more closet and door leading to our bedroom. The door WILL be covered and the closet rebuild. Just bigger and better WITH a built in bookshelf/possible changing table.

This side looks the same. Hopefully we will get alot more done this weekend!

Ok, it wasn’t raining today it actually turned out to be one of the nicest days so far. But it WAS Katie’s shower. I had such a great time and everything turned out so nicely. From the cake, the the table center pieces, it was such a lovely day. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Here are a few pictures of the day.
