Today Noby and I headed over to Chuck E Cheese for a play date with his friend Joshua. Noby doesn’t get to do to much without his little brother tagging along, so we lucked that Ichiro was sick today! Sorry Ich, but it really worked out for us. We had a great afternoon playing game, eating pizza and winning prizes!
The boys were so excited to be invited to Carolyn annual Christmas party. It was a great afternoon filled with fun crafts, yummy foods and great friends!
Noby has this favorite game he plays on the computer where the object is to see how many smoothie combos you can make using different ingredients. I knew the minute he opened the smoothie maker yesterday we would be trying it out today!
Here he is checking it out…
Adding pineapple…
Some watermelon…
And liquify!
Koji just waiting for a sample…
The best part of the smoothie maker was these popsicle molds…
After Christmas morning at our house we all headed over to Brenda’s apartment for Christmas Part 2. Christmas morning we only opened gifts from Santa so this afternoon was filled with TONS of gifts that we were giving to each other. The entire afternoon was relaxing and filled with excitement and laughs!
Check out the loot under this tree…
Koji has this thing where he likes to sit on the gifts…
Noby and his Black Angry Bird blanket…
UGG BOOTS!!! I am sooo excited!
Do you think Noby was excited to get a Kookoo Bird from my parents?
Snowball gun… ohhhh my!
My mom did great again, a smoothie maker!
And once again Brenda hit it out of the park with an amazing dinner… Surf and turf! Yumm!!
Enjoying our yummy dinner…
Koji only wanted to sit on with Buddy, he sure does love his Buddy!!
Christmas morning everyone keeps their pajamas on and heads to our house. They get here early to make sure they see the kids come down in the morning. We all just love to see the looks on their faces when they see everything Santa left. Last year we started the tradition that on Christmas morning we open only the gifts from Santa. That means everything he left in our stockings plus under the tree. Later in the day we held to Brenda’s for Christmas part 2, where the main event of Xmas giving is done.
Looks like Santa came…
The stockings were hung…
and hung…
Noby excited to see exactly what he asked Santa for, a black angry bird…
Noby gave Koji the Angry Bird so he could ride Koji’s Mickey Mouse airplane…
Opening his stockings…
taking a break so he could read the book he got in his stocking…
Noby showing off his new Cars 2 ornament…
Dad and his new hat…
I love the look on Koji’s face…
We decide that Christmas morning would also be a great for the boys to open their gifts from Yoyo and Gigi too. Koji got this awesome green bike. It’s going to be perfect for the beach this summer.
And Noby got this amazing jeep! We didn’t get a white Christmas this year so the boys were able to try out their new bikes before heading over to Brenda’s house. I think you can tell they loved it…
We had a pretty busy Christmas Eve. It started with swimming at the hotel and crafts at the house but the real fun began when we arrived at Brenda’s house for Christmas Eve night! We had a wonderful relaxing night filled with delicious foods and lots of laughs. I now realized that we didn’t take many pictures so you will just have to imagine how awesome Brenda’s house was decorated, it was like a picture in a magazine. Well until my kids got there!!!
I’m not sure how it came up but we decided to give Ichiro one of his gifts early. It was a big one and unwrapped so we blindfolded Ichiro while we dragged it into the room.
Noby led him to the gift…
We had one very happy Daddy when he took off the blindfold!
My parents and I went in together to buy this video arcade game for Ichiro. Inside is a computer that holds 1000s of old arcade songs. The rest of the night Ichiro had a great time trying to figure it out all the commands.
I’m going to have to ask my sister and mom to see if they took any more pictures tonight, I feel like we slacked a little. But to be honest Ichiro was really into his gift!! haha
One awesome picture we did get was of Noby and Koji watching Santa’s travels on the computer!! I love this one…
The night wouldn’t be complete without putting out milk and cookies for Santa, carrots for the reindeers, and the reading of Twas The Night Before Christmas.
About a week ago my mom came to me saying the ONLY thing she wanted for Christmas was a hand print painting from the kids. She came across the idea on Pinterest and even came to Boston with all the supplies. So after our morning swimming, we came back to the house to get our craft on!
Koji was first…
Then it was Noby’s turn…
And finally Memere added the final touch!
I just need to add the year, but this is the finished project… The top 3 rows are Koji’s prints and the bottom 3 are Nobys! I just love how it came out!
Noby LOVES it when his grandparents come to Boston. Not just because he gets to see them but also cause he knows they stay at a hotel with a swimming pool! Christmas Eve morning we got up and headed to the hotel for a morning swim. Noby had a great time, Koji…. not so much. lol
We are very lucky to have some very generous neighbors. The family that lives right next door to us just adore the kids and every year they deliver a huge bag of presents for the kids! This year was no exception. Here’s Koji checking out all the gifts they dropped off.
If you remember, last year my mom and I attended Noby’s school concert and Holiday get together party. It was so cute seeing the kids on stage, sing many different holiday songs and reciting winter poems. It was such a fun event for both the kids and the parents. This year the entire event was cancelled because someone complained that last years concert was a little to Christmassy. Some of us parents were very upset about this. We decided we were going to plan some type of event where the kids could get together to play. I suggested that we have it at Together In Motion. When Noby was a toddler I would take him there on a lot play dates. It’s a great location that is very local, very clean and very fun for kids of all ages. It’s pretty much one big padded room with tons of balls and padded equipment that the kids run, climb and jump all over. We opened it up to the entire class, sending home invites with all the info. We were a little disappointed with the turnout, in the end only 5 kids from school came. Koji made 6. Even though only 6 kids were there, they sure did have a blast playing Wipeout!
Afterwards we took the exhausted kids to the mall for some McDonald’s! Can you believe it, for kids who NEVER gets McDonald’s, this week they had it twice!! haha Ohh well, it’s the holidays!
