Sukiyaki
This is a rough recipe. We kind of eyeball things but I promise to make some notes the next time we make it. In the meantime, please let me know if you have any questions.
The sauce: if you prefer you can buy a “ready to use” Sukiyaki sauce a Japanese market. Ichiro’s parents make it so, so did we.
2 cups water
1 cup soy sauce
sugar
thinly sliced rib eye meat
onion
Hakusai (Napa) Cabbage
Japanese Yam Noodle
Bunashimeji mushroom
Enoki mushroom
Japanese scallions
Heat the sauce in your tabletop pan. Then start adding the rest of the ingredients. It’s as simple as that. Eat it with a small bowl of rice. SO Yum!
