It was BEAUTIFUL today, just beautiful!! It’s hard to believe its Nov 29!! So I primed this shelf almost a year ago. It’s meant to go into Noby new bedroom. Can I really call his bedroom new anymore? haha Anyway today I got out and put the first coat of orange paint on the shelf!! I hope this weather lasts so I can add a second coat this week!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We’ve had a long day and I’m ready for bed!!! Our day started by Noby getting us up, he was excited to come in our room to wish us a Happy Thanksgiving!! Once the car packed we headed to NY. We needed to make a pit stop in CT to pick up Ichiro’s camera at my parents. We knew we would probably miss my parents but we sent them this picture from the their house!
Ichiro’s parents always do such a nice Thanksgiving. It’s always nice and relaxing to be here. It’s like we’re on vacation! haha
Check out this turkey….
Each year we talk about how this special carving knife only comes out once a year!
Koji couldn’t wait for everyone else…
Noby LOVES the fruit basket that Memere sends each year!
I love this picture!

So for the past couple of weeks our gas gauge hasn’t been working correctly. Sometimes the light saying you have no gas turns on when you just filled the tank. Anyway we have been very careful not to let it get to low, we have been following the mile counter to guesstimate how much we have left. Today Ichiro needed a ride to work. The gas light turned on while we were driving into the city, Ichiro said “Don’t worry I think you have abut 1/4 of a tank left.” So we drop Ichiro off and head home. Of course the big yellow gas light makes me nervous so I decide to stop and fill our 19 gallon tank.
This is what I then texted to Ichiro….
“A quarter of a tank my ass!”

This morning Ted and Gail called to see if they could stop by for a visit this afternoon. They’re in the area for Thanksgiving and wanted to see the boys before they headed south again. We were so excited to be able to have them over. It was a great visit!! Koji especially loved it. He was so smitten by Ted! It was adorable!! Every time Ted sat down, Koji wanted to be on his lap. Every time Ted got up, Koji wanted to be right there with him. Koji even got upset when anyone else wanted to give Ted a hug! Like I said, it was adorable!
Thanks again Ted and Gail for the wonderful afternoon!

Tonight Matt and Katie hosted the first, of many, I hope, Couples Bunko Game Night!! We had a blast!!! I wasn’t sure how to describe Bunko. I was going to say it was a dice game, almost like Yahtzee but really it was nothing like Yahtzee. So I decided to check out if there was a Wikipedia page. Wikipedia says, “Bunko is a social dice game involving 100% luck and no skill (there are no decisions to be made),[3] scoring and a simple set of rules. Women who are part of a Bunko club take turns as the Bunko hostess, providing snacks, refreshments and the tables to set up the games. The hostess may also provide a door prize. Small amounts of money can be involved as well. The object of the game is to accumulate points and to roll certain combinations. The winners get prizes (provided by the hostess or pooled from the club resources) for accomplishments such as the highest score, the lowest score, or the most bunkos.”
We really had a great night! This is a perfect game for a big group of friends. Like Wikipedia says, there is no skill involved, all luck. No one has to feel like they don’t know trivia or can’t draw. Everyone is on the same skill level. This is also a great game because you are continuously moving tables and sitting with other people.
We can’t thank Matt and Katie enough for hosting tonight!!! Ichiro and I had an awesome night out!!
Bunko score card…
Action shot!
Of course there might have been a little beer and wine involved! lol
Ray, the big winner of the night!!!
