Today Brenda’s office was having a Halloweens party and she invited Noby to attend. I was pretty excited because Noby really didn’t have anywhere else to wear his costume to. I think he’s still to young to understand about going trick or treating door to door. So this morning, to get ready, I tried and tried to get Noby to wear the hat part of his costume but he would NOT leave it on. No matter what I did, he would not wear it. Well wouldn’t you know, he proved me wrong at the party. When we got into Brenda’s office I thought I would try one last time to put the hat on. HE WORE IT THE ENTIRE TIME!!! He didn’t try to take it off at all, the entire time! It was like he knew it went with the costume. I couldn’t believe it!
Obama on the left
McCain on the right
We can talk politics all night
And you can vote however you like
You can vote however you like, yeah
Democratic left
Republican right
November 4th we decide
And you can vote however you like
You can vote however you like, yeah
(McCain supporters)
McCain’s the best candidate
With Palin as his running mate
They’ll fight for gun rights, pro life,
The conservative right
Our future is bright
Better economy in site
And all the world will feel our military might
(Obama supporters)
But McCain and Bush are real close right
They vote alike and keep it tight
Obama’s new, he’s younger too
The Middle Class he will help you
He’ll bring a change, he’s got the brains
McCain and Bush are just the same
You are to blame, Iraq’s a shame
Four more years would be insane
Lower your Taxes - you know Obama Won’t
PROTECT THE LOWER CLASS - You know McCain won’t!
Have enough experience - you know that they don’t
STOP GLOBAL WARMING - you know that you won’t
I want Obama
FORGET OBAMA
Stick with McCain and you’re going to have some drama
We need it
HE’LL BRING IT
He’ll be it
YOU’LL SEE IT
We’ll do it
GET TO IT
Let’s move it
DO IT!
Obama on the left
McCain on the right
We can talk politics all night
And you can vote however you like
You can vote however you like, yeah
Democratic left
Republican right
November 4th we decide
And you can vote however you like, I said
You can vote however you like, yeah
I’m talking big pipe lines, and low gas prices
Below $2.00 that would be nice
But to do it right we gotta start today
Finding renewable ways that are here to stay
I want Obama
FORGET OBAMA,
Stick wit McCain you gone have some drama
MORE WAR IN IRAQ
Iran he will attack
CAN’T BRING OUR TROOPS BACK
We gotta vote Barack!
Obama on the left
McCain on the right
We can talk politics all night
And you can vote however you like, I said
You can vote however you like, yeah
Democratic left
Republican right
November 4th we decide
And you can vote however you like, I said
You can vote however you like, yeah
Monday night we finally were able to meet the new member of the Cormier Family. I can’t believe Colby is almost 3 weeks already! Between being in CT so long and then Noby getting the cold, we just haven’t been able to make it over there. But last night we headed over with tacos and cookies in hand to hang out and meet the new little guy. He is just so cute and it’s just amazing how gentle Avery is with her new little brother. Ichiro took out the camera and was able to grab a few shots! He’s processing the images and will be posting the edited photos on Flicker soon but I couldn’t wait so here are some unedited photos.
Sorry I haven’t been on top of my blogging, the weekend was pretty busy. It all started Friday night when Ichiro got home from work. It was only a few years ago that a Friday night would be filled with clubbing at Avalon or drinking at a bar. Well these days Friday night was filled with a trip to Toys R Us! Yup that’s right a trip to Toys R Us. Last week I was sweeping the kitchen and Noby just couldn’t get enough of the broom. He wanted to sweep and wouldn’t give me my broom back. You should have seen him trying to push the full size broom around. Well Friday we got him his very own broom, so now he can help me clean the kitchen.
My sewing stuff has been all over the downstairs and its been hard to live around it. I really didn’t have a place to keep the machine set up so every time I wanted to sew I would have to set it up and then take it down so Noby couldn’t get it. Well Friday Ichiro suggested that we make the second bedroom in to a guest/exercise/computer/CRAFT room instead of what it is now, a guest/exercise/computer room. The plan was to move all the filing cabinets and computer stuff not in use into the hall closet where all my craft stuff was tossed into. So Saturday was filled with trying to organize all my craft stuff and empty the hall closet so Ichiro could move his stuff in. We pretty much worked on that all day and it’s still not done!! Here’s a picture of what it looks like now. You can’t walk in there! 🙁 OH YEAH! During the day we took a break to run to costco. Ichiro got me a HUGE gift for the room!! I’m not going to tell you what it is till I can show you a picture of it in the room!
As we were cleaning up for a visit from the Bajkos on Sunday, I noticed that the kitchen faucet was leaking. There was water all over the counter and after taking it all apart, Ichiro decided we needed new one. Later in the day we headed to costco again and got a new faucet. Check it out…
Mo, Jeff and Bree came over to pick up their computer, it’s been like 6 months that we’ve had it!!! OOPS!! It was so great to see them!! I’m so bummed that I forgot to take out the camera to get a few shots of the kids playing together! The Bajkos were so nice and came with a birthday gift for Noby. He loved them and I took a few pictures of him later in the day playing with his new truck and wearing his new hat.
This truck is now friends with Thomas and his train friends!
Here are a few more of him playing on Sunday… (Kelly check out his shirt!! We love it!!)
Noby would like to thank the Dimicelis for such a great surprise yesterday. It was so unexpected! He loved it and even spent hours just climbing in and out of the box.
Yesterday Noby got a surprise birthday package in the mail. He couldn’t wait to see what was in it!
He couldn't believe his eyes as he tried to pull it out of the box.
It was a combo of this two favorite toys; the All Aboard Train and the Busy Ball Popper!
He just loved it!!!
Thank you Maya & Mr and Mrs Dimiceli!
We didn’t make it out of the house this week and I only took the camera out a few times. Here are a few pictures of sick Noby this week. Most days he never got out of his pjs! haha
One day Noby wouldn't let his birthday balloon go. Here he is watching his Thomas video as he hangs on tight!
So not much has been going on in the Ashihara house. Noby has been sick since we came home from CT, so we really haven’t left the house. He has been very clingy and wants alot of my attention, so there hasn’t been much time to blog, ok it’s more like we just don’t have much to blog about. One plus is that Noby has been napping like a champ. I think its a combo of him being sick and not really sleeping the entire week we were in CT. During this time I have been sewing, sewing, sewing. Since I last blogged I’ve added a boarder to the front of my quilt and finished the back of it. I haven’t attached them yet, instead I’ve started a new project. A few weeks ago I found this great website where a girl (at least I am assuming it’s a girl) makes playhouses out of felt. Well being the sewer that I am (haha 1 curtain and 2/3 of a quilt) I said “I can make that and I can make it better!!!” I’ve decided that instead of a house, I would make the project much harder. I was going to make a rocket ship. AND unlike the one I saw online my will be decorated inside and out. hahaha So off the the fabric store I went, this time dragging Brenda with me. Well wouldn’t you know my excitement over my new project rubbed off on Brenda and before I knew it she was picking out fabric to make her own quilt! Now I have a quilting buddy!! She has been over twice to work on her quilt. The first night she cut everything out and tonight she started sewing it together. FUN!
Noby and I are back in Boston. Friday morning (yesterday) we woke up in CT and Noby was sick, he had tons green shit draining out of his nose. I know… that’s gross. I called the doctor and they actually got him an appointment for that afternoon. We wanted to make sure Noby got looked at before the weekend, I was nervous about the ears and wanted them check. Well the doctor said his ears were fine and that Noby just had a cold. This first cold and she said he was handling it wonderfully, whatever that means. LOL He went to bed early last night and unlike in CT slept all night! Today he even took a 4 hour nap. Sooo what did I do last night and with my 4 hours of FREE time today? Laundry? Nope… Cleaning? Nope… Sewing? YES!!!
I’ve finished the top of my quilt. Tomorrow I need to run out and get some plain brown fabric to finish it up. Here are a few pictures… Check back tomorrow to see if I finished…
Today I got home from visiting dad at the rehab place to find the most wonderful surprise waiting for me! The card that accompanied it just reminds me how amazing my husband is! I am so lucky to have him!
I know it’s been a few days; Mom, Noby and I have been extremely busy going back and forth to the hospital and rehab to see Dad. Dad is doing well, he’s still in some pain and rehab is going slow, but in the end he knows what has to be done. Noby has been so wonderful the last few days. One of the greatest things about Noby is the fact that he is so adaptable. The day of Dad’s surgery he played and played in the waiting room while we waited to see Dad. The day we transferred Dad from the hospital to rehab he ran up and down the halls at rehab. There is a huge fish tank in the hall he would run down the hall to see it. He laughed the entire way down and all the way back to the room. Noby now has so many girlfriends, ALL the nurses just loved him. Even with the fact that Noby is great adapting, we didn’t want to push the issue. Thursday and Friday he spent the day at home with mom and the rest of the daycare kids. He seems to have had a great time playing with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days.
All 10 of the kids. Notice that Noby is the only boy!!
HAHA Here I am playing ring-around-the-rosie!!
Loves the swing!
Noby thought it was so much fun to sit on the"time out" bench.
Pushing his new hippo around!
He thought it was so much fun.
Last but not least, my mom took out Brett G's old Thomas the Trains cars and tracks. He loved pushing the cars through the tunnel!
A big Congrats goes out to Joanna and Shawn! This afternoon they welcomed the newest member of their family, Colby Somerset. He weighed in at 8lb 6oz and is 21 inches long. Both Colby and Mom are doing great!! I can’t wait to get back to Boston to meet the little guy. But until then here’s a picture Shawn sent us today.
