Wednesday we woke up to roaring thunder and down pouring rains! It seriously sounded like the storm was right on top of our little cottage. Looked like it was going to be a long day at the cottage. Matt and Ichiro had left for work so it was just the ladies, kids and Jeff. Around 7ish here seemed to be a break in the rain, it was just enough time for Jeff to get a round of golf in. When he returned we needed to get out of the house, so we decided to head out for lunch. The drive to the restaurant was bad. We could barely see out the window, Sarah and I kept questioning why we really left the house. lol
On the way home from the restaurant we ran into a little trouble. It had been raining so badly that the roads were flooded and they were turning all the cars around. With a little help from Kathy and a little help from GPS we were able to make it back to the house to find that the entire driveway was flooded. I couldn’t believe the amount of water there was.
While Noby was taking a nap, everyone went for a little walk to check out the waves at the beach. Mo was able to snap a few pictures with her cell phone!!! Check it out….
That night we planned to go to the the hermit crab races, but they ended up being cancelled due to the rain and flooding of the shop. Sooo we went for ice cream instead!
