So yesterday around three o’clock, I get a call from my oldest and dearest friend Ryan. As I’ve said before (here) Ryan and I have know each other since our diaper days and even though we don’t get to see each other as often as we would like, when we do it’s always a fantastic time!! I often say Ryan is “like my brother,” but honestly he is even better than any brother. He is an amazing guy! OOPS, didn’t mean to make this a Ryan-fest, back to my story. So yesterday Ryan calls me around 3, they’re jumping in their car and heading to Boston for the Willie Nelson/Dave Matthews Concert. He goes on to say that he has TWO EXTRA tickets and he wants Ichiro and I meet up with them. Now the concert started at 6:30 and we already had plans for the evening, I didn’t know what to do. I felt really guilty about canceling on Matt and Katie but at the same time Dave Matthews AT Fenway Park!! I also needed to figure out if Brenda would be able to come over earlier then planned, Ryan said he wanted to meet around 6. Originally we hadn’t planned on leaving till like 7:30, so Brenda wasn’t going to work her summer hours. Well in the end, after some scrambling, Brenda was able to get here and Matt and Katie said they totally understood and that they would have done the same to us for Dave Matthew tickets!! (Katie we plan on making it up to you!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!)
I had such a great time with Ryan. I haven’t seen him in a while and it was great to fill each other in on all the crazy stuff we’ve been doing!!! Thanks again Ryan for the fabulous night!!
