We can finally go to the beach because the beach quilt is FINALLY done!!!

The front of the quilt:  It looks pretty much the same as the other day but I’ve added the orange binding after the font and back were sewn together.  (Check it out, Inu wanted in on the picture.)

The back:  This is what I worked on tonight.  In each corner is a small triangle pocket.  You can fill the pockets with either a rock or some sand so the wind doesn’t blow the quilt around.

And lastly a close up of the pocket:

So I have to say that I LOVE this quilt but I’m happy I’m done with it.  It was alot of planning and replanning and TONS of sewing, and resewing!  I can’t wait to be able to use it!

It was beautiful today, actually a little warm for my liking but nonetheless the sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky and the temperature reached over 90.  I haven’t found a water table yet so I decided to make one with a couple of buckets from the playroom.  It worked out perfectly and Noby had a great time!
