I see you….

Ok, now I know Ichiro turned me into a geek… I spent the better portion of the night using iChat. It’s program that allows you to use video to talk to people. YOU DON’T NEED TO TYPE!! I used my cool new computer (we can talk about that later), Ichiro sat next to me using his computer, and Andy is in NY on his Mac.

So check out my new computer… Its great and so much faster. I love it and the man who got it for me! hahahaha

My Duty….

Today I got up bright and early (ok it was still dark out) to head over to the District Court of Cambridge. Here I would serve my first Massachusetts jury duty. Once we all checked in, we watched a very outdated 17-minute video, which explained the ins and outs of the court system. We were now to wait to see if any of the 4 courts needed jurors. At 10 the court officer made an announcement that we could take a break. I didn’t bother going anywhere because I had a pretty good seat to people watch; also because he said we had to be back in 15 minutes. This gave me plenty of time to work on my knitting! It was great, I only got a few strange stares and one lady was like “GOOD IDEA!!” Around noon he announced that numbers 1-30 had to stay and the rest of us could go to lunch, BUT we had to be back in the courtroom at 12:45. Not enough time to run to the mall like I had planned in my head. At quarter to 1 we all got back to the room and the officer announced that all 4 courts had settled their cases today and that we were done for the day!! YEAH!!! Done for the day!! At this point I HEAD TO THE MALL!!!

It was packed and not fun. The only store I wanted to go to was closed for water damage so it was a bummer. I got a couple of things and headed home.

What a great surprise to come home to a HUGE box of Godiva Chocolates. Mmmm check out this fun box. Someone must really love us!!

I was feeling like a good wife so I decided to grill up some steak tips for Ichiro for dinner.. brrrr was it cold out there!!!

What a happy guy!!! Check out his new hair cut!!

Let the Festivities Begin!

It’s been a crazy part couple of days.

It all started Thursday night with the NPP Party in Boston. We started the night with margaritas and dinner at the Cactus Club. Mmmm had my first Mojito Margarita and boy was it good! After dinner we headed over to Kings, for a few drinks, some free pool and lots of laughs, at the karaoke singers expense! I have to admit I wasn’t really in the mood to drive into the city, search for a parking spot, do a 10000 point turns to get into that spot, but it turned out to be a great night!! I had a LOT of fun with the fellow planners!!! Sorry for the bad quality photos, they are from my camera phone!

Friday was a day of PI fun…

It started with a “PI Year in Review” meeting, where each group tried to out due each other in making us laugh. Mike F took the prize with his video on all the place Terawork sent him this year. John W, was a close second with this musical rendition of his travels. This had to be the best PI meeting I have been to yet!!! The meeting ended at the perfect time for our PI Potluck Lunch. What a hit my meatballs were a hit but I must say there were many other great dishes. I will try to get recipes and share here!!! After the lunch our filled bellies went into our new lab in building 600 and started setting up. I had some VERY important jobs. I first started following the Boss Boss around with pictures, I held while he nailed. They obviously didn’t trust me to much, my next job consisted of me digging through boxes, playing “Is this a toy or is it a part?” Very exciting and surprisingly I only got a couple wrong! Oh don’t forget that I also wiped down the work benches, very very important!! Next the PI quality time continued with some good old bowling!! I had been promising them all week that I would unveil my ball that night. It was a hit and Sponge Bob actually even won a game! Bowling is way more fun with people who don’t play every week!! We had 20 people, maybe half the alley, and somehow they knew to put us near the bar!! Ok, I know what your thinking… the PI party must be done, but NO… next we traveled on to Mike F house were we continued the party with a little beer pong and poker. I dragged Ichiro with me for A drink but ended up staying till midnight. YEAH PI!!

You must be thinking… “BECKY, your Xmas parties MUST be over now”… NOPE just beginning!!!

Saturday night we headed to North Andover for the Lynch’s First Annual Christmas Party. We had a blast and it was great to see everyone! Especially Matt and Katie and Sarah and Ray! What wonderful news we got from Sarah and Ray and we couldn’t be happier for them (and their family!) We love you guys!! Like I said the party was great! It was nice to get out and I have to say it actually got me more into the Xmas spirit!

Can’t get rid of anything!

I complained to Ichiro that this domain was a waste of money. How he wasn’t updating it and how he should just cancel it. Ichiro get rid of something?? Not going to happen!! So he did something and now he says it’s easier for me to update. The problem wasn’t I didn’t know how to update it, the problem was I had nothing TO update. I have to say I not very good with this type of thing but I thought I would give it a try.

Last night we went to Ichiro’s work Xmas party. I got to hear hours and hours of how great he is and how he’s a GOD when it comes to computers! YES someone ACTUALLY said that to me!! Never the less we had a great time. Every year it makes me think that I need to work for a nonprofit. Instead of a beautiful hotel party with an open bar, a delicious dinner, dj with dancing and a generous gift card, Terawork (a million/billion dollar company) gives us a free lunch with pot luck desert. Can’t wait for next week!!!!

I decided to try a new recipe tonight… it’s a rainy Wednesday and I thought a comfort food would be perfect. What to make… what to make…. Shepherd Pie. and it was a hit. Both Keith and Ichiro loved it and said it should be on “The List.” Searching for the recipe I found a new site that I think I’ll be frequenting often. Ohhh I wanted to show you what Ichiro’s mom gave us when we were there for Thanksgiving. I LOVED them!!! If you like to cook (actually even if you don’t like to cook) you need to get yourself some!!!
