No big trips for Easter this year so we decided to have a nice quiet afternoon at Brenda’s house. We planned all the usual Easter activities for the kids and an awesome lobster dinner for the adults! It was quiet but fun was had by all.
Auntie helping Noby color Easter eggs…
Koji keep grabbing the egg out of the cup with his hands…
Our lion egg…
I think our zoo animal eggs came out great!
What would Easter be without some drinks?
Noby playing IN the toy bin.
The boys opening their gifts that Memere and Buddy sent…
Checking out the lobsters…
EASTER HUNT TIME!!!
Easter wouldn’t be complete without some tasty Easter desserts…
Happy Easter Everyone!! We hope that the Easter bunny was as good to everyone as he was to this house. The boys were so excited to come down see what the Easter bunny brought them.
The baskets were left on the coffee table…
First thing Noby saw was his Space Angry Bird… “LOOK Mom, its SPACE Angry Birds!!”
Of course Koji loves anything Noby does…
CANDY!!!
Koji caught on quickly that the eggs had candy in them!
I really wanted to get the kids outside today, plus I knew I wanted to exercise. What better way to kill two birds with one stone then to walk around Horns Pond in Woburn. I convinced Brenda and Ichiro to join the kids and I.
Someone was tired…
Noby walked almost the entire 2 miles, but by the end he hopped on the stroller for a ride…
Well today I turned the big 35! I guess I am officially mid-thirties. I really don’t feel any different but it’s a little depressing that I’m now on the swing to 40! haha
The day started like any other day. Got up, got everyone ready, took Noby to school, took Ichiro to work, Koji and I stopped for coffee, same old, same old. The exciting day all started after I picked Noby up at school. First we headed south to get some cupcakes for dinner. There’s nothing better then cupcakes. Especially a sample of different flavors. That’s exactly what I wanted for my birthday, a variety of cupcakes, and I wanted 1 bite from each! haha
Our destination was Treat Cupcake Bar in Needham…
Noby picking out the cupcakes…
I think he did a great job…
There’s an actual cupcake bar in this place. You pick the type of cake, the flavor of frosting, plus any toppings you want on it! Here’s Noby asking what every topping is…
After picking up our cupcakes we stopped at the mall and I had a lunch date with two of my favorite little men! We also managed to squeeze in a little time at the play area AND a color match at Bare Escentuals!
The rest of the day was pretty perfect. We picked Ichiro up at work and I headed to water aerobics. I left water aerobics a little early so I could come home and have dinner and cupcakes with the kids. I was excited that Brenda could join us…
Cupcake time.. Starting on the top and going to the right we have Funky Chunky Oreo, Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie, Caramel Something Something and Peanut Butter Overload!
We had to put the candle in the bee cupcake…
Someone was VERY excited for me!
This is the after! Trying each of the cupcakes, I would have to say my favorite was the Gluten Free Pumpkin!
Today the boys and I headed out for a long overdue “fun day” with Auntie! We decided it was the perfect day to go to the Boston Aquarium and after standing out in the cold for 45 minutes we decided to get the aquarium pass. That means, next time NO standing in line!!!!
Here’s a picture of Koji wearing Auntie’s gloves cause his mother didn’t dress him for a 45 minute line…
Auntie and Noby checking out the penguins!
Noby telling us about the frogs…
Koji looking for the fish..
Koji wouldn’t let me take a picture of him, he was laughing behind that cup…
I first heard Jane’s Addiction on a high school trip about 18 years ago. I was hooked the minute I heard them. My obsession just got stronger during college. Check out this picture of Mo in my dorm room. It’s not a great picture but I see at least 4 pictures of Jane’s Addiction/Perry Farrell.
Ohhh the memories of this picture!!!
Now fast forward to when I moved in with Ichiro. Ichiro introduced me to PVD and an entirely new kind of music. But I was so excited to learn that Bill, one of our roommates liked Jane’s Addiction as much as I did.
Fast forward to yesterday, Ichiro asked if I thought my parents could watch the kids that night. Why? He just ordered Jane’s Addiction tickets for the show that night in CT for my birthday!!
I called my mom, packed our bags, picked up Ichiro at work, and we were on the road. We stopped about half way for gas and as I filled the tank, something clicked. I was going to see Jane’s Addiction THAT night!!! I got WICKED excited!!
The night couldn’t be anymore perfect! They played ALL my favorite songs and I got to experience it with my favorite person, my best friend. Thanks again Ichiro for such an amazing night!!
Today we headed north to celebrate with Avery as she turns 5. It’s hard to believe that it’s been 5 years since we first met her at the hospital. It’s crazy how fast the years go by. The boys had such a great time at the dinosaur themed party.
Shawn and Kelly had tons of activities to keep the kids busy. Here they are painting their dinosaurs…
Even Koji got into it…
This is the amazing homemade dinosaur cake that Kelly made for the big day!
Koji LOVED this rocking horse…
A perfect lunch filled with fruit and dinosaur nuggets…
Next the kids headed out to hunt for the dinosaur eggs that were hidden in the yard…
Noby FINALLY got to play in some snow!
The birthday girl…
Noby even got to go sledding!
Cake Time!! Avery making a wish…
As you can tell the boys had such a great time!! We were so happy to be able to celebrate with Avery as she turned 5!
