I am totally and utterly in love with this….
That’s right I got my Le Creuset pot today and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love it!! I love everything about it, the size, the color, everything makes me so happy!!! Right now, I’m trying to decide on the first meal to cook in it!!
Ohhh I’m in love with this little guy too….

Ichiro has to do some work in the office on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend but before we let him go in today we all took a trip to the Children’s Museum. We had such a nice afternoon exploring the museum. Afterward we stopped for a giant popsicle before dropping Daddy off at work!

Tonight we went to a dinner party to celebrate our dear friend Cassius’s birthday! It was such a wonderful evening filled with interesting conversation, tasty foods, and great people!!

Today Noby and I headed over to Lizzy’s so the kids could play outside. It’s been sooo long and I couldn’t believe how much the baby has grown!!! HE’S WALKING!! Of course everyone had a great time. I decided to bring Ichiro’s camera to try and get some pictures but realized half the pictures were taken in the wrong format. OOPS…better luck next time. Here are a few I did get!

Tonight Ichiro and I had a very geeky date night! One of Ichiro birthday gifts, one he knew about, was tickets to Star Wars in Concert! A few months ago Ichiro and I were watching tv and came across a special on PBS about a live performance featuring Star Wars music. The PBS special looked awesome and we quickly got online to look for tickets.
It was an AWESOME show. If you are a Star Wars fan and have the opportunity to see this show, I HIGHLY recommend it!! Ichiro took a few short videos that I will try to get up at some point but for now here are a few pictures from the night!

Today Ichiro had jury duty, which we thought would mean he was going to be home early. Well that’s what I thought anyway. But in the end he was picked for a jury and didn’t make it house that early. Almost around normal time. Ohhh well!! But when he did finally make it home, we all went out to play in the backyard.

While at the store this morning looking for something special to make for dinner, Noby and I decided to get some stuff to make Ichiro a birthday cake! I gave Noby choices of two different kinds of cake, two different frosting, and a few different sprinkles. He ended up picking a marble cake with chocolate frosting and star sprinkles! haha Exactly what I wanted him to pick! He was so excited to help make Daddy’s birthday cake! Check it out…
Turns out the eggs in our fridge were VERY old and we had no oil. I remember reading something about making a cake with a can of soda, so we checked it out and went for it!

Today Noby and I had a pretty busy day. It started with my week 30 doctor’s appointment. An appointment I was dreading to go to. After 3 weeks of vacation I was sure my doctor wouldn’t be happy with my weight gain. But the craziest thing happened on this vacation, even after eating pints of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, tons of yummy gummy bears and more chocolate then one person should have, I seemed to have lost, YES LOST 2 pounds!! I have NO idea how that happened!!!! I am now 30 weeks pregnant and have a -2 lb weight gain. My doctor isn’t concerned, she said the baby is measuring normal and as long as I’m eating she is ok with it. I assured her I did nothing but eat this vacation!!
After the doctor’s appointment, Noby and I ran to the store to pick up a few things to make a special dinner for Ichiro’s birthday. Then we headed to the zoo. We had a great time walking around checking out the animals. Today was the first time I let Noby ride the train at the end of the park. He loved it and I better make sure I always to to the zoo with $2!!
He looks sad but that’s because the guy just said the ride was over… lol

In the back of my head, the way back. Actually the way way back of my head, during vacation I thought about our grass. The grass we worked so hard on growing in the backyard. I was concerned that we would have this major jungle when we got home. I tried to convince Ichiro to cut it when he was home for those few days but I knew he was going to be busy with work. Well when we got home on Saturday, I was right! The front yard looked like a jungle. I was dreading pulling out that push mower and trying to tackle it. I was dreading it so much I didn’t do it. Later that day I decided to finally look out the window and see how bad the back was. Ummmm it was night and day. Jungle and desert!
