So at first we thought Noby’s might have been carsick on the way home the other day. However that theory went out the window this morning when I woke up sick. I was so nauseous and ended up running to the bathroom to get sick. I’ll leave out all the details but my day was spent on the couch. Thank goodness I have a husband that was able to pick up the slack! 🙂
Our trip home from CT did not go as expected! My plan was to give Noby lunch at my mom’s house then head out so maybe he would nap in the car. Everything looked good as we were heading towards the Mass Pike. I decided to make a quick pit stop at Starbucks to get something to keep me awake on the ride home. As I pulled off the highway I heard Noby coughing, as I turned into Starbucks I turned around to see him puking ALL over himself. It was gross, Sooo gross, and sad at the same time. He didn’t know what to do, he just kept puking on himself. Of course there was no parking spots in the small parking lot of Starbucks so I ended up having to pull out and illegally stopping on the side of the road.
I pulled Noby out of the car, stripped him down to his pull up, and then attempted to clean the puke covered car seat. Of course I didn’t have any napkins in the car, so I used almost an entire pack of baby wipes to attempt to clean it. Thank goodness we were at my mom’s for a few days and had some pjs in the back to change him into. I also found a blanket to clover the car seat until I could clean it for real.
Now as I said before we were parked illegally and as people left Starbucks you could tell they were pretty annoyed with me. I got a lot of dirty looks, well until they figured out what I was doing, then they looked sympathetic.
Once we were ready to go, I pulled around into Starbucks to get my, now WELL needed coffee. I ordered, pulled up and paid. I got my change, my straw and pulled away. I got back on the highway, turned to take a sip and realized that I FORGOT MY COFFEE!!!!! UGH! Now I debate, do I go back, do I just forget my $5 coffee? If you know the highways in Springfield you know that it’s not just an easy on easy off to get back to Starbucks. BUT I knew I needed that coffee!!
We made it home with no more problems. However Noby did get sick twice more at the house. Friday, Noby woke up feeling fine, like nothing happened at all. I decided to keep him home from school anyway and we spent the day watching tv from the couch.
Today the boys and I headed to Suffield to surprise my dad for his birthday! I asked Noby what we should get Buddy for his birthday and he said “a cake and a candle!” I love it that my son thinks all you need for your birthday is a cake and a candle! Of course Noby went on to say that “Noby needed a cake and a candle too!” And he got one! lol Happy Birthday Dad!!
Today Noby and I took Koji to his one month well check up! It’s hard to believe that he’s already a month old!! The doctor said he looked great and to keep doing what we’re doing!
Birth: weight: 8lb 9 oz Height: 20 inches
1 month: weight: 10lb 12 oz Height: 22.75 inches (WOW!!)
Here’s a picture of Koji checking himself out at the doctors office…
Today we had a Family Fun Day!! It all started this morning when Noby started playing with his Nurf bowling set, a toy we haven’t seen him play with for ages!! I ended up thinking about the time we were at Bradley Bowl and we watched the cutest little boy bowl, he was amazing! Anyway, I thought how fun it would be to take Noby bowling! Ichiro agreed and it was off to the bowling alley for Noby’s first attempt to bowl!
As we walked in his eyes were bigger then big!! He kept “ohhhhing” and “awwwwing.” It was adorable!
Noby really listened to Ichiro and tried to follow his instructions…
He got so excited…
so excited he was jumping up and down…
About half way through the second game the lights went out and the music started to play. Atomic bowling started and Noby was in even more awwwww!!!
After school today, Noby and I decided to make some cookies. Memere came to Boston for Koji’s birth with all the ingredients for her famous oatmeal cookies, but that week we never ended up making them. I’ve been thinking about the cookies since then, but knew the never really come out like Memeres!! Till TODAY!!! Maybe it was because I had such a great helper, but these oatmeal cookies are just like Memeres!!!!!
Unlike Memere, we added a few M&Ms to one batch of cookie…
Wednesday night, while the adult boys (Ichiro, Keith and Shane) went bowling, Brenda and I took the young boys out to dinner. It was a nice night out and this honestly had to be the best drink I’ve had in a while!
Rocking a pomegranate-apple sangria, yummmm!!
This week I’m trying to do a few different activities with Noby. Since Koji’s been born we haven’t done much in the activities department and I think Noby has been feeling neglected. Today we finally got to carve our pumpkin. I know, a little late but at least we did it! Noby has been learning about jack-o-lanterns in school, so he was excited to get ours done.
Between the Radio Disney stage at the zoo and the Signing Time show the other weekend, we have started talking about looking for some type of dance class for Noby. haha Watch and see how Noby studies the dancers before starting to copy them! What do you think?
So do you think we should look into dance classes?
