Well we all know the outcome of yesterday’s game; what a sad ending to a perfect season. Although we didn’t have anyone over, we wanted to make Noby’s first Super Bowl a great one. All I can say is that Ichiro’s TV is ridiculous! It felt like you were at the game! The colors and clearness of the game were really amazing! So I didn’t have the excuse of company to make yummy nachos or chip and dip, so I tried my hardest to make some fun stuff that was still on my diet. I think I did pretty good and even Ichiro ate them!!
Noby was ready for the game in his Patriots gear!
This picture doesn’t do it justice!
Oh you didn’t know, Noby was actually playing in the game!
Today while Noby and I were trying to figure out how to clean the kitchen while we continued to play, I came up with a great idea. Actually I kind of took it from Joanna and Shawn. They have their pack n’ play in the tv room so Avery can play in it when they can’t have her on the floor. They call it baby prison. So I moved the pack n’ play into the kitchen. Noby can now play while I put the dishes away or start dinner.
Help me….
Oh… Hi!!!
From today, Noby in his blue chair.
Are you asking, “But Becky, what’s for dinner?” Well tonight I tried another new recipe. All I can say is I LOVE this one. It’s called Inside-out Egg Roll and it tastes exactly like that. I made ate it over brown rice and made white rice for Ichiro and Keith. As the “add in” I used ground turkey. YUMM…
The picture doesn’t do it justice, it was Very Yummy!
PS. I almost forgot to tell you that Noby took 2 one hour naps IN THIS CRIB today!!! And I’m trying to use the pacifier so he can get himself to sleep. Go Noby!!!
So tonight Noby was showing off his new skill. He hasn’t mastered it yet but he’s almost sitting up by himself. There were so many great shots of him tonight, here are a few…
Look at me!
OOPS!
What is this?
I love this foot!
Can I eat it?
I’ll just eat my hand.
I also made a new recipe tonight. I must be on a buffalo kick because tonight I made Buffalo Chicken Lasagna. I would make it again, however next time I would omit the Veggie Slices Cheese on top. “Veggie slices cheese?” you ask. The website says, “You won’t find this soy-based product in the dairy section because it has a logical home in produce. Veggie is an excellent source of calcium without cholesterol, saturated and trans fat or lactose. Veggie is available in slices, shreds, spreads and more and is a delicious and easy way to eat smarter sandwiches, salads and meals!” Yes as you would think it SUCKED! I think I would just crumble a little blue cheese on top and count the extra points for it. I also think I would use ground chicken instead of the cubed chicken it called for. But overall it was pretty good and I plan to make it again, with the few changes.
Buffalo Chicken Lasagna.
Veggie Slices. Check out the close up of the labels. One says “Lactose Free” and the other says “May contain trace amounts of lactose.” WHAT?
I’m a Stay At Home Mom (SAHM)!! I have been trying to get in touch with the HR department for about a week now and no one is returning my call. Today I tried to log onto my work computer to see if someone had emailed me with directions of what I do now but my account is no loner valid. LOL I guess they made it official, I’m a SAHM!!!
Well Brenda, Noby and I spent the day Christmas shopping. We did ok, getting almost everything we needed. I do have to say, spending the day out with a newborn isn’t always easy. Especially with a breastfed baby. Breastfeeding in public is not really acceptable and it’s getting a little cold to feed Noby in the car. Today I found the perfect spot, THE DRESSING ROOM. It was great, Noby and I stayed warm and we didn’t get any dirty looks. It was perfect. I just wonder what the lady in the room next to me was thinking when he let out a big burp! LOL
We were gone most of the day, leaving Ichiro home to work on the baby’s room. Which I have to say he got so much done; all the trim is up AND the crown molding. He also filled in all the holes and cracks, most of it is sanded now too.
Check out that trim work!
Check out that train work! 🙂
Panorama of Noby’s room.
So the other day I decided that we were not going to be able to put the Xmas tree up. The dining room is filled with Noby’s stuff, and until we finish his room and move all the stuff off out we just don’t have enough room for the tree. I have to admit I was a little disappointed but I knew it wouldn’t work. Anyway Noby and I got home from shopping today and this is what we saw when we walked through the door…. (I cried!!)
A REAL CHRISTMAS TREE!! I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!
While we sit here looking at our Xmas tree, Noby is finding his feet. He’s so cute…
Today while Noby and I were playing he started laughing and just couldn’t stop. It was so cute. I need to figure out the video part of my camera. Here are a few pictures of him.
Today, not only did we get our first Xmas card (from Matt and Katie) we also got a package from Gi-gi and Yo-yo. Noby was so excited he wanted to jump right in!
Noby loves his stocking from Yo-yo!
Today we also noticed how big Noby’s been getting. Ichiro came up with a great idea to mark his height on the wall.
First of many marks on the wall!
We finally finished our Xmas cards and uploaded them to be printed! I’m so excited with how they look and can’t wait to get them in the mail!
Today Joanna and Avery came over for a couple of hours. I can’t believe what a big girl Avery has become! She can now get around on her own and even pull herself up on the furniture. I did come to realize that our house needs ALOT of baby-proofing!
Noby was more interested in Joanna, he didn’t want to look at mommy for a picture.
I tried a new recipe tonight, “Thai It, You’ll Like it, Spicy Thai Shrimp with Coconut Rice.” It was a huge hit, this was the second Rachel Ray recipe we tried and loved.
Seeing that I’m not a HUGE coconut fan, I just made regular sticky rice. YUMMY!
I am so lucky to have such a talented husband, he has been taking some great shots of Noby. He knows exactly what lighting is needed and can use Photoshop to get wonderful effects. I can’t wait till we are done perfecting the photos so we can send them out.
