This holiday weekend has been a busy one, Friday night Katie’s Bday party, Saturday Peytons and now the beach! Our original plan was to head home after Peyton’s Birthday Party but then the Blackburns invited us down to the beach condo for the rest of the weekend. I had hopes of working on the baby’s room but everyone convinced me that should wait and we should hit the beach! Who am I to argue with everyone!!
The water at the beach was FREEZING! I mean it was so cold it hurt, but we all took turns bringing Noby in. He LOVED it and couldn’t get enough!!! I have a feeling it’s going to be a LONG 3 weeks at the beach… NOT that I am complaining, at all!!!!
Saturday we headed to RI to celebrate with the Lemoines!! It’s hard to believe that little Peyton turned 1 years old!!!! Like always, Katie, Doug and Mr & Mrs Lemoine threw an amazing party! The theme was Ladybug Picnic and very last detail was perfect! It was so great to see everyone and celebrate with Peyton!
Katie turned 30 and Friday night Matt threw her a party for the big day! Now when Matt and Katie throw a party, they go all out. There’s always a theme, some might find stressful, however that is really what makes their parties so much fun!! haha This party was so different, the title of the evite was “Mops, Murkins and Mustaches for the Dirty Thirty.” Everyone had to wear a wig, murkin, or mustache to be allowed to enter the party. It was such a fun night!!
This week there were a few very hot days, so Noby and I convinced Daddy that we needed a new toy! We headed to the Woburn Toys R Us and was told the only one in the area was in Peobody. And that they would hold it for 1 hour! In the end I think Noby was pretty happy we were able to find this…
Sunday afternoon we attended the beautiful wedding of my cousin Meghan and her fiancee Tommy. The wedding and reception was held right on the river and every last detail was just perfect. Meghan was a stunning bride!!! Ichiro took so many beautiful pictures it was hard for me to pick just a few to share.
Sunday morning we headed over to the hotel where some of the family was staying to take a little dip in the pool. Noby loves swimming and he was so excited when we asked if he wanted to go swimming with Chris!!
Saturday we headed down to CT to start the celebration weekend for my cousin Meghan and her fiancee Tommy! The weekend started with a picnic at my parents house. It was an awesome relaxing afternoon filled with family and friends!
For Noby’s second birthday one of the gifts we got him was a Scanopedia. The Scanopedia is an electronic talking animal encyclopedia that scans toy animals to unlock sound effects, fun facts and quiz questions. This was Noby’s favorite toy for a LONG time. He played with it everyday and we collected A LOT of the animals, they’re all sold separately of course!! Like I said he played with this thing everyday, well until the day he decided to wash it in the bathroom sink. That was the end of the Scanopedia.
A few weeks ago I saw that woot.com was selling the Scanopedia for $5!!! F I V E D O L L A R S!!!! I can tell you that I paid WAY more then that for his first one. WAY more!! It was a weekend so I marched right upstairs, woke up Ichiro and made him log on to his woot.com account and order two of them. COME ON it was $5!!!!
Woot.com only charges $5 for shipping so, finally after a few weeks of waiting and watching the ground shipping, the mailman showed up with THE box!! I was so excited to let Noby open it!! And he didn’t disappoint, he was just as excited to see it! Check it out…
Again today I knew that Noby needed to get outside. He was climbing the walls and hasn’t napped in day! I decided that we should walk around Horn Pond. It’s a pond a few towns over that I use to walk Noby around in the stroller. So on the way to the pond you drive through the Fells. The Fells is 2,060 acres of wooded area that includes hiking trails that run throughout. As I drove by several pull off parking I got the idea that maybe it would be fun to just walk in the woods. So the next parking lot I pulled in and with that we went for a mini hike in the woods. Noby did great! He only fell a few times, the trial was very rocky. Anyway I decided that we would hike for about 30 minutes, turn around and then hike back. It was the perfect plan. That was until we were on our way back. We stayed on the trail and when I saw the “landmark” that I thought would lead us to the parking lot, we turned. WELL it turns out that wasn’t the trail to OUR parking lot. It lead to us to a different one and then I started to get nervous. Had we walked to far? Did we not go far enough? All of a sudden our walk in the woods didn’t seem like such a great idea. Thank GOD some lady walking her dog walked onto the trial just a little up the way. I picked up Noby and ran down the trail in her direction. I explained our story, she laughed. By the time I reached her on the trail we were in front of the trial to our car. We were all good!!! OOPS!
So anyway we walked for almost and hour. I thought for SURE Noby would take a good nap today. We got home, had some lunch and went up for a nap. Well as I type this post he’s still not napping. He’s actually doing headstands in the crib. I guess my plan didn’t work! Boooo
