Today Brenda and I hit the outlets!
Brenda’s looking for some new clothes for her fast approaching Mexico vacation and I was more then happy to help her spend her money! You know I’m pretty good at spending other people’s money! Anyway while we were gone Ichiro and Noby had a quiet day at home. Check out a few pictures I found on the camera.
hummm is this last picture why today Noby thinks it’s cool to stand on the little kid table?????

Today Noby, Ichiro and I had a pretty busy and exhausting day. It all started with us getting up pretty early to get Ichiro to the hospital for his routine colonoscopy. We were pretty lucky that the moment we got to the floor they admitted Ichiro and he was taken away to start the process. Noby and I hung out in the waiting room for about 20 minutes before he decided it would be fun to escape down the hall. At that moment I knew we needed to go for a walk. We headed down to the lobby where we got some fruit salad and a doughnut for Noby. We also lucked out that it was such a beautiful day out. After our breakfast Noby and I headed outside to walk around. We walked down to Harvard Medical, stopping for some Starbucks on the way! Noby was so funny, every time someone walked by us he would say “Hellooooo.”
After walking around for about an hour we decided to head back to the waiting room. I think we were in the room for about 15 minutes when we got the call that we could hang out in recovery with Ichiro.
We were out of the hospital and home by 11:30. Perfect timing to give Noby lunch and still put him down for a nap. I actually put down both the boys for naps while I ran out to go collect paperwork from Noby’s school and the doctors office.
Noby never fell asleep during his nap, something that is happening more and more these days, so by the afternoon he was in rare mood! We decided that he needed to get outside and run. I can’t say enough how much I love our backyard. It’s the perfect size.
Blowing bubbles…
We even took Inu out with us…

What’s better then random packages on your front door? Honestly, who doesn’t love being startled by the doorbell, opening the door to see the FedEx man walking back to his truck? And I can tell you there is really nothing better then finding out that random package on your front step is from my in-laws. Well my mother-in-law to be exact. She has the nack of being able to find the most coolest or yummiest treats out there!
I texted Ichiro to see if I could open the package. I always like to ask for permission! hahaha Anyway I opened the package to find Hawaiian cookies! And boy did they look good!!!!! So good I had to try one (or two!) They didn’t disappoint, they are awesome!! I knew I had to hide them from Ichiro because tonight he has to prep for tomorrow colonoscopy.

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to make some of our favorite Japanese recipes. Several months ago, I would even say maybe a year ago, the Japanese market that we’ve been going to closed. It was a sad, sad day, and we haven’t had some of our favorite Japanese recipes, like Sukiyaki, since. Ichiro and I were so excited to find out that the owners were reopening in MEDFORD!!! Literally right down the street, I mean so close I would walk, except I’m sure I will always have tons of packages!
One of my favorite things I got at the store… Buna Shimeji Mushrooms!
So this week, we didn’t have Tuesday Bowling Taco Night, we had Tuesday Bowling Sukiyaki Night! And boy was it GOOD!!!!

Today wasn’t as nice as yesterday but still nice enough to head out for some fresh air before the rain starts again.
I can’t say it enough, I love our new little backyard!!

It’s been over a week since I last blogged and I know you have all been wondering where I’ve been. Ok, maybe you haven’t. Maybe no one really reads this and I’m talking to myself. Either way Noby and I’ve had a crazy week! I’ve gone back and tried to explain parts of it.

This weekend we had a visitor!! Bill drove up from PA on Friday night. Noby and I didn’t get to see him because it was way past our bedtime when he got in. But Ichiro stayed up to greet him! Saturday morning was beautiful out so we decided to head to the zoo. We texted both Bill (who was sleeping upstairs) and Brenda to see if they wanted to join us. We were surprised that both said they would love to come! It was such a nice morning, perfect weather to walk around, or should I say, perfect weather to chase Noby through the zoo! lol
Noby roaring like the tiger…
Noby had a great time with Bill. He was so relaxed, well as relaxed as Noby can be! lol I think he loved the fact that Bill could lift him to the ceiling and flip him with ease!!
Chilling on Bill…
Up high.. Up high…

I had to go home on Thursday and was very sad to have missed my mom’s birthday! I know your birthday wasn’t exactly what you had thought, dad in the hospital and a no school for the kids, but I hope you had an OK day. And I plan to make it up to you, next time I come home!!
Here is a little someone from our day on Friday that might make you happy!
I think it’s waving, “Happy Birthday Memere!”
That’s right everyone! Ichiro and I are expecting our second baby!! We are VERY excited! The ultrasound tech determined our due date is Sept 27!!! One day after what our OB said, but it just makes me more excited that this baby might share a birthday with Pepere!! Keep your figures crossed for Sept 27!!
