I usually laugh at Ichiro when we’re at a show and most of the night he recording it. But then he comes up with videos like the two below and I’m amazed by him. He’s so talented!!! Thanks for making these videos so we can always remember the amazing night!
It should be no surprise to anyone when I say that we LOVE Paul van Dyk. If you know us at all or if you’ve followed this blog for a little while, it shouldn’t be a surprise at all. We’ve travel great distances to see him perform. We’ve seen him in Boston, LA, New York and Ibiza (well Ichiro saw him in Ibiza, it was an off week the year I went). We’ve seen him inside clubs, outside in parks, on a pier and even in a record stores. Some places felt like 1000 degrees while other times we were freezing. I was trying to come up with a number of times we see him but I couldn’t, however looking at old pictures I found these…
We’ve seen him…
at Axis in Boston…
on a pier in NYC…
in the rain at Waterworks in Boston…
At clubs like Roxy, Exit, and Sound Factory in NYC (several times each!)…
so many times at Avalon in Boston…
in Central Park, both in the rain and the HOT sun…
And at Virgin Records in Boston, in front of about ONLY 30 people…
We even got to meet him! So cute!
We’ve seen him so many time and I have to say that last night had to be one of the best! This show, also in Central Park was AMAZING!! JUST AMAZING! I’m not sure if was the anticipation of the hurricane or what but it has to be in the top 3 shows. So PVD is usually a solo act, but last night he spun with two live drummers and at the end even had a live singer. All I can say is AMAZING! Almost all the shows Ichiro and I’ve seen, Keith has been with us. And honestly it just wouldn’t be the same without him!! Last night was no exception, the three of us had such a great time together. Our entire adventure was a blast.
Here are a few pictures from our AMAZING night!
Check this picture out, how cool does Ichiro look….
Look Mom, it’s Shane and me!!
PVD was SOOO into it last night…
At the end it was PVD, two live drummers and Johnny McDaid…
We have been trying to get this house a little more organized. A few weeks ago I wanted to tackle Noby’s toys. I love the storage cabinet we got at Ikea but Noby would pull out all the drawers to find what he was looking for. I decided we needed to put pictures on the outside. One night I lined the toys up and had Ichiro take pictures of each set. We developed them at CVS and laminated them at Staples, next we taped them to the outside of the bins.
They look great and when Molly (Noby’s EI teacher) saw them, she said “Do you have a background in education??” haha MAYBE!! haha
So this morning I get an email from Shawn asking for my (actually my aunts) famous steamer recipe. I’ve made this a few times camping and now people ask for it! Anyway Shawn’s email said that yesterday while at the cape they went clamming and he had several pounds of clams that he needed to cook. At the end of the email in very small print it said “if you and Ich want to home help me eat them come on by…” Ummmm OK, you don’t have to tell me twice. I told Shawn that we would bring some lobsters and make it a small lobster/clam bake. Our lobster bake started small but after checking the internet it started to grow and grow. We not only needed lobster but potatoes, and onions, and corn. The list grew as the excitement for dinner grew!!! Our impromptu Monday night lobster bake dinner turned out AWESOME!!! AWESOME!!!
Lobster Races…
Colby even got into playing with the lobsters…
These clams were so fresh! I’ve never seen them with such longs necks before…
Sunday we headed south again but this time to hang out with the Lemoines!!! Katie and Peyton were back in town and I couldn’t wait to see them!! We had a relaxing day by the pool and again all I can say is Noby LOVES to swim!! He managed to convince everyone to take him in at least once. Thanks again to the Lemoines for letting us come hang out!!!
Peyton and her Pepere…
I’m so happy and so in love with this little girl…
Saturday was such a busy day! It was busy but it was also so much fun. We started off with James birthday party. It was held at a sports club on the South Shore. The kids had a hour in the a bouncy house and then 2 hours out in the splash pool. Noby had such a great time and was so excited to share in James’s birthday celebration!
Noby loved the little slide…
jump, jump…
Look what I was doing…. (LOVE that little guy!!)
It was HOT and the splash pool turned out to be the relief…
I can’t say it enough, Noby LOVES the water!
No fear at all…
Check out the cake… Nemo with a Spiderman candle!
After the birthday party we headed over to the Mitchell’s for their annual summer cookout. We were late but still had a great time hanging out with everyone and eating some yummy BBQ. We didn’t take the camera out until we were hanging out inside. The only picture we got were of the boys playing Wii!!
Thursday we headed over to the Brascos for a little fun in the sun. I haven’t seen Lizzy and the kids since the baby was born, ALMOST 3 weeks ago!!! I love to watch the boys play together, they always have such a great time!!
Do you even think about what Heaven will be like? What it will have and what it wont. My heaven will have no traffic, no lines, and lots and lots of margaritas. Today we went to Littleton, NH to a general store called Chutters. When I walked in I knew right away it was Ichiro’s heaven…
Looking to the left…
and looking to the right…
This store actually holds the Guinness World Record for the longest candy counter!! It has 112 feet of counters, filled with glass jars of every type of candy you can even think of! They have tons of classic types, some that are hard to find and then some of our favorites from today! Like I said, this would be part of Ichiro’s Heaven!!!
Today was a day of firsts for Noby! The first time he woke up in the pack-n-play on vacation at 7 am! That’s right he slept the ENTIRE night in his pack-n-play!!! 8:30 pm to 7 am, not to bad if I say so myself!!! The first time he hiked, not being in the hiking pack. AND the first time he ate his OWN ice cream cone. That’s right, tonight we headed to the cutest named ice cream shop for some yummy ice cream!
