Noby was very excited to get started with Thanksgiving this year!! Here he’s showing Gigi how to cut the turkey! (Yes he is still in his PJs!! We figure he would be most comfy in them for the LONG drive to NY)
Noby's saying " Come On! Enough Photos! Let's cut this bird!"
After dinner we headed over to the Dimiceli to see Jed, Marcy and little Maya. Well it was late and Maya was already in bed when we got there but we had a great time visiting with everyone else! Tomorrow we plan to head back to be able to finally see little Maya!
So everyone knows Ichiro’s a geek, and slowly by slowly he’s turning me into one too. Check out what our late Thanksgiving night looks like right now…
Yes that is 4 Macs and 4 iPhones! hahahaha LOVE IT!
Tons of traffic on our way to NY this morning! Ichiro and I decided it would be better to get off the MA Pike and try to find our way on back roads. We had the GPS on the truck going and the GPS on Ichiro’s phone showing us the traffic. I tried to get a picture of our geekiness! The red line on the phone is traffic on the MA Pike!!
We have so much to be thankful for this year! Our friends and family are definitely on the top of the list and we can’t thank you all enough for everything you do for us!!!
Ichiro, Noby and I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Here’s a little video of Noby from the last 14 months!!!
This past weekend was a rough one. Saturday Ichiro had a contract job that lasted from 3 in the afternoon to 3 AM in the morning!!! While Noby and I were playing at home, Noby got quiet and then just started SCREAMING! He cried and cried and I had no idea why. I quickly smelt that he had gone number two and while changing him I realized that he had some open sores on his little tush. Needless to say it must have stung when he went potty. All weekend changing his diaper was a chore. He screamed and screamed every time I changed it. Needless to say we didn’t go far this weekend.
Sunday we had plans to go to Ikea with Andy, but I really didn’t think it was a good idea to take Noby out. Basically we were changing his diaper every hour and I didn’t feel like doing that, with a screaming kid at Ikea. I did however send Ichiro. We needed some flood lights, so we can start working on this years Holiday card!!! Well I don’t know if Ichiro felt guilty or what but he came home with some fun gifts for Noby!! We put a couple away for Xmas but check out this new “chair!” I know what you’re saying “NEW CHAIR?? DOESN’T HE HAVE 2 CHAIRS ALREADY?” Well he does but he’s a climber and thinks it’s ok to stand on the other chairs. This one is great! Stand Away!!!
OMG!! I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I last blogged. Noby and I have been keeping busy with not really doing that much! hahaha If that makes any sense. Here are a few pictures from the past week…
Last weekend the Museum of Science was opening a new exhibit. As members, Ichiro and I had planned to attend the members only showing at 8 am, that was until we got a call form Randy. Randy is one of the Ashihara’s oldest family friends. His parents have know each other for years. Randy was in town visiting his son, who attends North Eastern and asked if we wanted to meet them at the Museum.
The new exhibit, the most completed Triceratops skeleton in the world!
Noby playing with a puzzle at the museum.
"Mom, look at the cute boy!"
The crew at the museum.
Noby is growing so quickly. He is such a little boy now, no more baby. He LOVES to climb and is in and out of EVERYTHING!! The other day we were at Costco and I found some very cute pj for him. Ichiro and I decided that the 18 months pjs looked huge but at least it would give him room to grow. Here’s Noby showing off his new pjs.
The PJs are not as big as we thought. I love it when he stands on his tippy toes!!
Here's how Noby is growing so quickly! He's working hard with his spoon and fork!
Noby LOVES his milk. Here he is reaching for more milk!
Like Father Like Son!! Noby's new favorite snack... lettuce!
Ok so many people say that Noby MIGHT be a little spoiled. I DON’T agree but of course he has gotten a few new things to show off this week….
Noby showing off his new hat and mittens.
One of Noby’s new signs is FISH. He gets so excited when he sees a picture in a book or a fish on TV. He signs it over and over again. I wanted to so badly to buy him a goldfish, BUT I’ve done fish before and really HATE cleaning the bowl! We have visited the pet store over and over again and every time I think about buy one. Well check out Noby with his new fish!
He loves his new "fish."
He points and then signs the word Fish!
Last but not least…. As many of you know, Noby LOVE Thomas the Train. Mr and Mrs Lemoine gave Noby a Thomas the Train video and he would watch it 24/7 if we allowed it. Well someone (my mom) mentioned that they saw a big Thomas at Costco, so while we were there we checked it out! Ichiro thought it would be a good idea to let him try it out….
What do you think? Do you think we were able to get him off the Thomas to leave? I think not! haha Don't worry this did NOT come home with us!
I need to make a HUGE shout out to TB and GB in Florida!! You were SOOO Right! SO SO RIGHT!!! They suggested that I try the Dulce de Leche creamer from International Delight. Boy, were they right. I almost didn’t get it because Stop and Shop only had the large bottles, but I am so happy we went with it!!! YUMMY!!
All I can say is YUM!
I am a little annoyed that when I went to open it this morning the top didn’t work. This is my second time the cap on the International Delight was broken. I guess I will start checking them in the store.
This week Noby got a package that came all the way from Japan!!! Ichiro’s second cousin Madoka sent Noby a box full of Japanese toys. He had such a great time pulling everything out of the box, checking each toy out carefully. Of course he spent the most time check out the box it all came in. He examined that box inside and out! THANK YOU MADOKA!!!
Noby loves to point to all the animals!
Every time I tell Noby its a FAN, he looks up for a ceiling fan!
We tried and tried but Noby didn't understand what side of the pinwheel to hold.
Here Noby and I were putting all the beanbags in and out of the box.
That was until he decided to go in and out of the box.
Wow! I didn’t realize it’s been 4 days since I last blogged. It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long but then again Noby and I have been pretty busy these past few days. Here’s our little update…
Friday morning we headed to the photo studio to view Noby’s 1-year photos. Once again Nancy did an AMAZING job!! Noby wasn’t really cooperating the day of this pictures but she managed to still get some adorable shots. The pictures we picked should come in within the next few weeks but I have a sample shot that she gave us in a note card.
Friday night, after Ichiro got home from work, we headed to CT. Ichiro was continuing to NY to work in his father’s office, but first dropped us off at my parents. Both Memere and Grandpa were very excited to see Noby!
Saturday we got up early and headed out to do the Suffield circuit of Christmas craft fairs. Well as you can imagine that left A LOT to be desired! Haha They all pretty much sucked but Mom, Noby and I had a great time checking them out.
Sunday was Dad’s birthday, so after church we took him out for some Birthday Breakfast. Noby loved his fruit and French toast. Yummy!!! Check out the hat that Noby gave Grandpa for this birthday. Ichiro came to pick us up on Sunday and we headed back to Boston.
Monday Noby and I hang around the house for the Direct TV guy. Remember a few weeks ago I told you that we were working on the craft room and well Ichiro got me a great surprise. Well he got me a TV for that room. A nice BIG TV. Yesterday the Direct TV guy came and set it up, so now we can watch all the DIY TV you want! While the guy was working I put Noby’s DVD player on so he would be distracted. And BOY was he distracted, he didn’t take his eyes off it. Here are a few pictures of what he was doing WHILE he watched his video…
sitting…
one foot up…
two feet up…
standing…
and back down…
over and over and over again!
So I’ve been working on the craft room, little by little it is getting more organized. I took a few pictures so you can see how it’s coming along…
the work area…
under the work station I have storage for scrapbooking…
I also have this entire plastic cabinet thing filled with ORGANIZED crafts…
On top I have my jewelry making supplies…
Then two drawers of knitting supplies…
Then two drawers of wrapping supplies; bags, tissue paper, bows, etc.
Last night Matt and Katie came over to visit! We haven’t seen them in FOREVER so it was nice to just hang out, have a few drinks, eat pizza and chit chat. After they left, and Noby was sleeping, Ichiro and I looked at each other and agreed “its been way to long, those Lynches are GOOD peeps!!” They even gave Noby the funniest little monster for his birthday. He says 4 sayings but the best one is his little song… “Yummy Yummy, There’s a party in my tummy!” Matt, Katie and I were dancing around the kitchen, while Noby (and Ichiro) just stared at us. hahahah YUMMY YUMMY!
Noby checking out his monster. Check it out we put him in his green striped pjs, just like this monster!
Thanks Lynches!!! Let’s not wait so long before the next visit!!
