After the shower on Saturday only Brenda and I headed back to Boston, that’s right, Noby had his first sleepover at Memere and Grandpas house! It was hard for me to leave him but I knew he was in capable hands. On Sunday Shawn, Joanna, Ichiro and I headed up to NH for the Nascar race. The weather didn’t look promising as we headed north, as we tailgated the skies were dark but no rain fell. About the time we headed to the track it got very warm so we all changed to shorts. The weather was perfect all race, well until the last 12 laps. With about 12 laps to go the skies started to open up and we could see lightning in the distance. They called the race and everyone started to leave the track. It was about a mile walk to the car and on the walk it was POURING. Our clothes were soaked by the time we got to the car, good thing we all had a change of clothing. Overall the day was great, the race was exciting, the company was entertaining, the beers were cold and my mom would call or text me with updates on Noby! Ichiro took over 125 pictures of the race but I won’t bored you with all of them, here are few…
Before the race we always tailgate, this year Shawn and Ichiro decided conversation wasn’t enough. They decided to set up Shawn’s extra dish so they could watch Direct TV. In this picture Ichiro is actually on top of the car, Shawn was just walking around with a compass telling Ichiro which direction to point the dish in. It was VERY funny, I wish we took video!
Joanna and I just watched the guys do their thing!
In the end we made all the cars around us very jealous. If you look in the car you can see the flat screen tv that they watched the prerace on.
Under the bleachers on the way to our seats.
Before the race, the driver are getting in the cars. I like this picture cause you can see the pit crew guys stretching on the ground. Too funny!
Left… left… left… left.
Jr in his new 88 car!
Jr after he was him from behind!
During this race we have 1 ticket behind the other 3. This year I sucked it up and sat behind everyone. It was all good, I made friends with the lady on my left and we talked about the race, Noby, and a bunch of other stuff!
