This amazing year has come to an end and what better way to close it than a party with close friends!! Keith and Megan, the new Mitchell family, had a intimate get together at their house. It was so great to see everyone and bring the year to an end.
The Ashihara Family, Noby didn’t really like the noise makers.
Niels, Rebecca, Baby Ingerslev, Ichiro and Noby, all bringing in the new year!
Well we’re back in Boston and as you can tell I’m getting caught up on my blogging. I was a few days behind and this past week, more and more people told me they read this blog! I was SHOCKED with some of the people who told me, but I love it. As I sit here on our free couch blogging here’s a couple pictures of Noby.
Our week is coming to a close but it wouldn’t be Christmas without the Ouellette Family Christmas Party. It was a question if we would have it this year but we all knew that Memere would have wanted us to. I feel it was very important for us all to get together and spend some happier time together. Here are a few pictures from the day.

We’ve been dying to check out all the work Matt and Sarah have completed to their new house and Friday we were able to. They did not disappoint, making the new house a home for their growing family. Ichiro, Noby and I had a such a great, relaxing night. Thanks again to Matt and Sarah for having us over.
Sarah, Matt, Noby and Baby Maher!
Matt playing with Noby, he is going to be such a great dad!!!
***BIG NEWS! ***
Noby and Matt had some tummy time at their house. We were all watching as Noby was lifting his butt and shifting positions. When we got home from the Maher’s we put Noby back on his tummy and all of a sudden Ichiro says “Noby just rolled over!” I say “No he didn’t” Well we put him back on his tummy and he did it again!!!! I grabbed the closest camera to snap a few shots but wouldn’t you know they are on my mom’s camera. (photos to come later!!!)
Wednesday morning Ichiro, Noby and I got up early to head down to NY. Jed, the best man in our wedding and Marcy his beautiful wife were visiting friends and family for the holiday. They have “talked” several times on iChat but we were so excited for Noby to finally meet Jed and Marcy. It was a nice afternoon at the Dimiceli’s and we can’t thank them enough for the extra onesie!! (pictures to come soon!)
We headed back to Ichiro’s parents where we stopped for some of the best Chinese food and then took some well needed naps. It was great to just relax and have some family time.
After some relaxing we headed north to visit to check out the Falco’s new home. It was great to finally see it and visit with both Andy and his mother. Also to show off Noby!!! We forgot our camera so here are a few shots from the night, taken with Andy’s iPhone.
Christmas morning came quickly and I got up early to help my prepare for the day. We started with making Monkey Bread and Christmas Bacon. YUMMM!! These are two of our favorite Christmas treats. Well we must have been so excited to see what Santa brought that we having a few problems with these.
Monkey bread, we forgot the butter so it wasn’t as messy as it should have been.
Here I’m making Christmas Bacon, what is Christmas Bacon? Well I think it’s the only way to make bacon even worse for you. First you roll it in brown sugar, give it a twist and bake it. YUMMY!
This is what happens when you start opening gifts and forget the Christmas Bacon in the oven. OOPS!
Santa came!! Here’s the left side of the tree.
And the right! Somebody was good this year!
Our stockings.
I like this picture of my dad, check out his stocking from when he was a kid!
Even Inu had gifts in his stocking.
Here’s my first Mommy ornament.

Ichiro LOVED this sleep sack!!! He didn’t even up taking it off all day!
Check out my Xmas gift, Tahitian Black Pearls!! I LOVE them, yes even more then Guitar Hero!
As you can kind of see, my mom gave all the girls and boy matching pj’s this year. Don’t we look cute?
We had Xmas in different stages this year, first up Grandma came over.
Here she is opening her frame from Noby.
This has to be one of the best gifts Noby got this year. This is a piece of Noby’s Great Grandfathers train set. Grandma gave it to Noby for Christmas, it means so much to us and we can’t wait to display it in his room.
Next up was Aunt Sherry and Uncle Ronnie. They stopped in for a visit but mom worked her magic and they stayed for dinner.
Last but not least, the Martz’s came over. I love how each year they volunteer as a family to serve dinner at the shelter. It was nice to have them here to play with Noby!
As you can see we didn’t leave the house but we had a very busy, and exciting, Christmas!
Sorry I haven’t been able to post for a couple of days nows. Things have been nonstop since the weekend. Were to start, where to start…. Well I guess I will just go in order.
Saturday Night, December 22
Saturday Night we went to the 9th Eve Eve Party. For the past nine years Ichiro and his friends would get together on the eve of Christmas Eve. This year because Christmas was on a Tuesday they decided to have a Eve Eve Eve Party. Ken and Michelle were wonderful host and we had a great time!!!! Here are a few pictures from the night.
Geoff, Ken and Noby.

The Rebeccas relaxing on the couch.
Sunday, December 23
After going to bed at 3 am, we got up at 7 to continue our celebrating. We packed up the car, picked up some Dunkin Donuts and headed to Park St. We didn’t have much time but we wanted to have a small celebration with the Cormiers. As we enjoyed our coffee the kids were able to exchange gifts and play for a little while. We promise that after the holidays we will do dinner.
The girls!
And the boys!
After leaving Jo and Shawn’s in Quincy, I tried to remember the back roads and got us to 93, it was time to head to Rhode Island. Katie and Doug had got in late the night before and I was so excited to get down there to see them. I love going to the Lemoine’s I feel so welcomed, it’s like going home.
Katie, Doug and Noby. This could be their family photo too!
Mrs. Lemoine making Noby laugh!
Noby opening more gifts!!! (Thank you!!)
We left RI and headed to CT, where I was sure my mom was standing at the door waiting for Noby. We were so tired that we really just hung out and went to bed early.
Monday, December 24, Christmas Eve
Mom and I got up pretty early, we wanted to do a little running around. We were shocked that there was no one at the stores. We hit Best Buy, Lane Bryant, Khols, Shaws, Costco and the package store ALL before 1pm! I was so impressed with us. Church was at 7 so we had a few hours to hang out and relax before we needed to get ready. One gift we received when Noby was born was an ornament making, so we decided that Noby’s first Christmas Eve was the perfect time to make it.
First we knead the dough.
Then we rolled it out.
First the hand print.
Now the foot.
Daddy picking out Noby’s toe lint, oops!!!
That night we headed to the Blackburn’s, this is our tradition. Here are a few snap shots from the night.
Sarah and Becky, how cute are we???
Nicky had Noby laughing so hard one minute, then crying the next.
Kathy, Glen and Noby, chilling .
Maggie and Noby.
We got home late and needed to get to bed so Santa could come. Here are a couple of pictures that Ichiro took while waiting for Santa to arrive.
All those gifts are BEFORE Santa came!
Brenda, Ichiro and I got mom’s pictures that Memere painted framed for Xmas. Didn’t they turn out great?
We have some pretty smart cats… OK one pretty smart cat!
Neko has figure out how to open doors. I’m not exactly sure how she does it but I’ve had to kick her out of Noby’s room several times today. Here’s a shot I took after I heard some banging upstairs…
So Brenda and I didn’t get very far the other day with our cookie adventure… as you recall we only made the Spritz cookies. So today, Ichiro didn’t go bowling and volunteered to watch Noby while I went to Brenda’s to finish the cookie cooking. Ok maybe he didn’t volunteer but he didn’t say no when I suggested it.
The plan was to make chocolate covered pretzels and ginger bread men. Well again that was a little ambitious but we did mange to get all the chocolate covered pretzels done. And I have to say they came out pretty darn good. Very gourmet!! They were all covered with chocolate and then they were either rolled in M&Ms, walnuts, Oreos, sprinkles, or doubled dipped in peanut butter. Like I said, Very Gourmet!!!
YUMMY!
Showing off our hard work! (We even dress alike!)
I thought this was going to be a good idea for the left over chocolate and broken pretzel pieces but I was wrong.
Random Noby Shot:
Noby cooking Spritz Cookies with us the other night. As you can tell he also thought it was a lot of work for such a little cookie.
So last night after getting my early Xmas gift, Guitar Hero I was a little bit of a brat. I got a little bummed that Christmas morning I wouldn’t have anything to open from Ichiro. I couldn’t understand why he didn’t wrapped it and give it to me then. I didn’t want to say anything because I KNEW I was being a brat but that’s how I was feeling. I’m not really sure why, I mean I wanted Guitar Hero so bad. Anyway Ichiro thought we should open it, he said “to make sure everything was there.” UMMM NO, its a Xmas gift, we will open it on Xmas. Well that didn’t last very long. I stared at it for about an hour then said, “maybe we should open it….”
All I can say is HAHAHAHAHA
Ichiro trying it out.
I LOVE IT!!
So I’m not only a brat but I’m also a sucker!! A few weeks ago I got a mailing for a portrait studio who was having an offer for new babies. The mailing said there were only a few available and it was a first come first serve type of thing. Also if you were one of the first 4 to call you also receive 2 bonuses. It sounded like such a great deal. Noby would get a 3month, a 6 month, 9 month and a year photo session with her. At the end we would get a framed piece of art that would have one shot from each session. All this, 4 one hour photo sessions, 4 reviewing session, and the framed piece with his 4 photos for only $39, plus tax. Well here comes sucker Becky, I call ASAP. With stuff like this I would normally have Ichiro look it over but I wanted the 2 bonuses. I make the call, I pay the $39 and sign up for the first session.
Well today was Noby’s 3 month photo session. It was amazing, Noby was so involved, actually smiling and laughing. Everything was great and I knew I would have such a hard time picking just one of her photos. So she took about an hours worth of pictures, posing him in different positions. It was great, till the end when she showed me the price list for additional photos. OMG can you said $$$$$$. I am such a sucker. She got me in with this amazing deal and now I am going to be so sad that I can’t have more of the photos.
I guess I will be going back to Babies R Us for them. 🙁
