On Christmas Eve, Kathy and Glenn invited us to their beach house to bring in the New Years. They had a wedding that night but would be down Friday afternoon for the weekend. It sounded like fun so we all planned to meet there on Thursday. Thursday ended up being a snow storm and it was up in the air if we would all make it down. At first we were going, then we weren’t, then it was back on. In the end we made it down, we even had so much fun we ended up staying an extra night!
Mom and Dad had chicken linguine ready for us when we showed up….
After dinner we played a little Pictureka…
Dad hated it and didn’t end up lasting long…
Later that night Ichiro and I headed to Foxwoods to bring in the new year!
Saturday we got up and had an awesome breakfast. The plan was to head down to the beach to see the Penguin Plunge. This is a local event to raise money for homeless and hungry families in the area. The event started at 12 and of course we were 5 minutes late, so we pretty much missed the entire thing. Thank God Kathy and Glenn ended up meeting us there (and were on time) so they were able to snap a few pictures…
Brrrrrrr… Even though we missed the event it was nice to hang out for a few on the beach. Noby had a great time and really didn’t want to leave!
That night Ichiro and I made teppanyaki for everyone for dinner. It was a hit and no surprise, we all overate!!
Noby really enjoyed his after dinner ice cream….
What would be beach trip be without a puzzle?
We even set Mom up with a Facebook account…
That night Ichiro and I decided to head out to Mohegan Sun…
Saturday we woke up with all intentions of heading back to Boston. Everyone else was staying one more day but we thought we would head home and have Sunday to get the house back to normal after Christmas. Well it was snowing again and we were having so much fun that we decided to stay one more night. That night everyone was heading to Mohegan Sun. Maggie was down and offered to watch Noby so we decided to go again. YES that would be casino 3 nights in a row!
We had an AMAZING meal at Michael Jordans Steakhouse. The corn was ridiculous!
Even got to see Little Anthony and the Imperials. Dad was in heaven, he was able to play Texas Hold’Em (actually win Texas Hold’em) and listen at the same time!
We had such a fun weekend!! Thanks Kathy and Glenn (and Mom and Dad) for inviting us!!
