So I can’t come up with a catchy title for tonight’s blog so you get “Barefoot, Cheese Burgers and Music…”
We start with “Barefoot.” Noby has pretty much been barefoot for the last 10 months. He has a pair of Nike sandals however has only worn them twice because they just didn’t seem to fit correctly. Anyway now that Noby has started walking I really didn’t want him out in public walking barefoot. Today’s Mom’s day off so we went searching for some shoes for Noby. We check a couple of stores but couldn’t find anything that seemed to fit him. My mom suggested taking him to a real shoe store, a place that will measure his feet and fit him in a correct pair of shoes. We ended up at the same store my parents took Brenda and me too when we needed shoes. The lady measured Noby and we found out that shoes weren’t fitting correctly because Noby has a wide food, an EXTRA wide foot. That’s right, not just wide but EXTRA WIDE! Poor little guy! I wish I had my camera but of course I didn’t, so I don’t have any pictures of Noby getting his first pair of EXTRA wide shoes.
EXTRA wide Baby!!!
Cheese Burgers!! So my dad ALWAYS talks about this place in Manchester that makes cheese burgers by grilling the cheese. That’s right… GRILLING THE CHEESE!!! I never understood it but alway wanted to try it. We were going to be in that area visiting my Pepere so I convinced him to take us there. Again, I wish I had my camera for a couple of reason. First, it was soo great to see Pepere and his new apartment. Noby just loved hanging out with his Grand-Pepere today I wish I could have gotten a couple of shot of them together. Second, because you should have seen these cheese burgers we had. Luckily Google is amazing and I was able to find a few pictures on the Internet!!
Check out that grilled cheese!! It reminds me of a flying nun hat!
This is how it’s made!
The restaurant has a fifty’s diner feel to it.
Music! Last but not least I bring you Music. One of the main reasons I came to CT 4 days early for the wedding was because Nicky was playing a free concert at the library in Windsor Locks. Nick is such an amazing musician and I wanted to show him that we support him. Most of the show was all original music that Nic wrote himself. He started each piece with a little description of how he came up with the song.
His name in “lights!”
He started the show by himself…
But had a couple different drummers join him in a couple of the songs. This one guy was just amazing! The two of them sounded great together!
Noby enjoying the show.
Maggie, “Sam,” and Glenn!
“Dad, Look a CARROT!!”
GREAT JOB NIC!!
