As you may recall back in 2003, Brian, Lisa, Ichiro, Inu and I headed to Keene, NH for there annual Pumpkin Festival. This is where they would try to beat the Guinness World Record for the total number of lit jack-o’-lanterns in one space. The year we went there was a new record, having a total of 28,952 lit pumpkins!
So I thought this might be something fun to do with Noby this year. Not that he would really remember it but seeing that I love all things “fall” and that it was a good excuse to get outside, I talked Ichiro into going. Neither one of us looked forward to the 2 hour car ride but he agreed we could go. During one of my many hours of surfing the internet this week I found that Boston is now joining the fight for the Guinness World Record. Last year was the first year Boston had the event and they broke the record with a total of 30,128 jack-o’-lanterns! This was such a find, we could have the same fun and save the 2 hour drive!!! YEAH ME!
I’ll let you know how many jack-o’-lanterns they ended up with this year but until then check out some of our pictures from tonight!!
Noby in front of the wall’0’pumpkins. Check out his “little pumpkin” hat!
Daddy and Noby checking out the pumpkins.
OK, here’s one with mom, I had to put this one so you could see his little shirt. Everyone kept telling us we had the cutest pumpkin there! 🙂
After the pumpkins, we headed to Faneuil Hall so mom and dad could get some dinner. Noby did NOT like the cobble stone walkways!
