Everyone knows I have a weakness for trees!  I just LOVE black and white prints, check out my living room AND bedroom!  Well I just came across this… It’s so perfect!!  Artist Adam Frank has created these little trees that are attached to a candle.  They cast the sweetest little tree shadows on the wall.  There are several different trees to pick from but here are a few pictures of my favorites!!!  The question is… Can I justify spending $48 on a shadow?

So Noby and I often show up at Lizzy’s while she’s pulling a warm batch of muffins from the oven.  Perfect planning I know!!  Anyway a while ago I asked her for the recipe but just never made them.  This morning Noby and I decided to try to make our own.  And I have to say they came out pretty darn good!!

So the best thing about this recipe is that you can make the batter and keep it up to a week in the fridge.  So you can have warm muffins any day of the week.

Bran Muffins

2 eggs

4 cups of bran flakes (raisin bran)

2 cups buttermilk

1 tsp salt

1/2 cup veg oil (or apple sauce)

1 cup chopped walnuts

2 1/2 tsp baking soda

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 1/2 cups flour

Mix and bake at 400 for about 20 minutes.

The batter, in a air tight container to store in the refidge.
