What do these three things have in common?
Thursday night we attended a benefit concert at the Hard Rock Cafe with Joanna and Shawn. Shawn’s most recent project was building Camp Harbor View, a summer day camp experience for children between the ages of 11 to 14 who live in Boston’s at-risk neighborhoods. The program gives the children the opportunity to experience traditional camp activities, such as hiking, arts and crafts, and swimming, while building the children’s confidence and leadership strengths.
Thursday night, at the Hard Rock Cafe, Darius Rucker was playing the benefit for Camp Harbor View. Who is Darius Rucker?? Back in the day he was the lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish. He now has two COUNTRY solo albums. The night was a lot of fun, especially when he played some of his old Hootie and the Blowfish songs. Thanks to Shawn for the tickets and the wonderful night out on the town!
