So tonight Niels and Rebecca invited us to their annual Chili Cook-Off, it was such a fun night. Everyone was asked to bring a pot of their favorite chili. The chili was numbered and given a name. The plan was to try each of the chili and then cast 3 votes. You could vote for your top 3 or put all your vote for one chili, it was entirely up to you. Of course I forgot the camera, so I don’t have any pictures of the 9 different chili that people made. But here are some highlights… there was a wonderfully HOT vegetarian chili, a Thanksgiving Chili (it had a pumpkin taste to it), a OUTSTANDING white chili (haha that was mine), and several others, some hot some sweet. It was such a great idea for a cold night in November.
So this was our first night out since Noby came into our lives. I was very nervous on how I would be leaving him, even for the few hours. We all know it didn’t go well the weekend of Keith’s wedding. But I knew Noby would be fine with Auntie Brenda. It turned out wonderful, Noby cried a little but nothing Auntie Brenda couldn’t handle.
At the Chili Cook-off, Rebecca gave out awards for not only the top chili but special achievements too. You can totally tell Rebecca is a teacher! Ichiro and I won a Special Achievement award for leaving Noby for the first time. We also tied for 2nd place on our chili!!!!
